50+ Fall Festival
Come join the 50+ group for a Fall Festival potluck on Sunday, October 18th, at 5:00 p.m. in the pavilion. Drinks and meat will be provided. Attendees with last names A-M are asked to bring a salad or side dish. Attendees with last names N-Z are asked to bring a dessert. Come enjoy the crisp fall air and warm firepit! 60+ October Event
Please join us in Miller Hall on Thursday, October 8th, at 11:30 a.m. Gene Olson, the Director of Airports for the Metropolitan Airport Authority of Peoria, will be joining us to share the latest update of recent developments at the airport. Gene has held his position since 2009. He is responsible for the management of the personnel and facilities of the Airport Authority. This includes the operation and development of the two airports owned by the Airport Authority, the General Wayne A. Downing Peoria International Airport and the Mt. Hawley Airport. Gene’s comments will cover passenger activity, what is going on with the airlines, recent airfield construction, and a progress report on the Air Traffic Control Tower construction project. Oh, and, as Gene promised...everyone’s favorite topic: parking!
Lunch this month will include fried chicken. If your last name starts A-K please bring a dessert, and if L-Z a dish or salad to share. We ask for $5.00 per person to help cover the cost of food and drink. Reservations for this event need to be confirmed no later than Monday, October 5th! College Care Packages
Our Redeemer youth group will be sending care packages to the college-age members of our congregation. If you have a student in college and would like us to send them a care package, please fill out this form, or contact Scott with an updated address by October 11th.
On Sunday, October 18th, packages will be set outside in the narthex. Members are invited to select a package, cover the cost of shipping, and say a prayer for that student as they send it on its way.

Trinity Garage Sale
You are invited to the Trinity Lutheran Church (corner of Hamilton & North, downtown Peoria) Garage Sale on Friday, October 9th, 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. and Saturday, October 10th, 8:00 a.m. - Noon. There will be all kinds of items from tools to toys, sporting goods and outdoorsman stuff, household & holiday fun stuff, antiques, furniture, pictures, clothes & shoes, and all sorts of other things! It is a “mostly-name-your-price” sale. The sale provides financial investment for Trinity's youth ministry and allows us to recycle people's stuff while connecting with friends and family in the Trinity neighborhood. Reformation Choir
A special Reformation choir is being formed for the single service on Sunday, October 25th at 9:30am. Lift your voice in song in celebration of the Reformation! Those of you who enjoy singing and can read music are invited to join the Reformation Choir as we proclaim Christ and His saving Gospel through song!
Rehearsals will be:
- Wed. Oct. 21 at 7:00 p.m. – choir room
- Thurs. Oct. 22 at 7:00 p.m. – choir room

Hello Men of Redeemer,
We have our Annual Men’s Hog Roast coming up on Thursday, October 1st, in the Redeemer Pavilion. We will again have our car show and bags/cornhole matches starting at 5:30, serving the hog from Rabers just after 6:00, followed by s’mores making around the campfire after dark. It will be another wonderful evening of fellowship and great food! We will hopefully have our new Pastor Matt joining us to share in this time growing together. Look forward to seeing everyone soon, please RSVP to the email invite or to Jason Bloms or Mark Briggs. Please, check if you can sign up for a setup or cleanup need coming in a separate needs invite. Pastor Appreciation Breakfast
Share JOY and PEACE in Redeemer’s Life Center as we show our thanks of their FAITHFULNESS to Pastor Chip Winter and Pastor Matt Albright on Sunday morning, October 18th during the Sunday School Hour. A fruity breakfast will be served from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. Baskets provided IF you would like to personally encourage them with a card. Let us show KINDNESS as we listen to a 9:50 am performance by Tone Chimes. Immediately following at 10 o’clock our LOVE-ly Farmington High School student, Chloe Briggs, will serve as our emcee as we show PATIENCE while playing a FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT game. No SELF-CONTROL or RSVP is required. We hope you will arrive hungry and attend!

October is LWML mites month!
Help us celebrate the whole month of October by bringing in your mites any Sunday in October. Or, donate online through the Redeemer website or app. Join us in supporting the many inspirational missions that happen because of your donations!
One such mission is for Arch Books for Immigrant Children in the USA
2025–2027 LWML Central Illinois District Mission Grant 15 — $125,000
This project will equip LCMS entities serving immigrant and refugee populations with Arch Books, free of charge, in the heart language of the children and their families. It is estimated that up to 125,000 children and their families will be reached by the translated books. Five Bible stories will be translated and made available in Spanish, Chinese, Telugu, Arabic, and Farsi.
