Libby Hold Items

In 2025 our Library piloted a new strategy to decrease hold times for audiobooks and ebooks available on Libby. Over the course of last year we managed to decrease the average hold period by 50%.

Recently, our Manager of Operations and Technology, Rya, presented at the British Columbia Library Association Conference to help share this strategy out with other libraries. We know holds are still long but we are continuously working on improving the borrowing experience! We are also planning to share more about the hurdles libraries face with connecting patrons to ematerials.
