Safe Routes to School Community Plan - Rancho Cordova
An open-house workshop with informational boards and opportunities for the public to provide input on goals and challenges related to pedestrian and bike safety at schools, safety concerns and/or other elements of the Draft Plan was held last night at Cordova High. Mayor's Ride to the Capitol Bike Fest
On Thursday, May 9th approximately 250 riders converged on the top floor of the public parking garage at 905 Leidesdorff Street (in Historic Folsom) for free coffee and pastries provided by Karen's Bakery and Cafe, sponsored by the City of Folsom.

At Hagen Community Park, cyclists from Rancho Cordova joined with the Folsom group for an Energizer Station and the ride to McKinley Park for a free catered lunch provided by the 50 Corridor Transportation Management Association, thanks to Sacramento County, City of Rancho Cordova, SACOG and Kaiser Permanente. After lunch the group rode the last few miles to the State Capitol grounds for the Bike Fest.

Energizer Station - May is Bike Month
Keep a look out for The View (Bike Month Winnebago) during your commute on the American River Bike Trail. Yes, we will be out there the morning of The Sacramento Region Bike to Work Day.  There will be snacks to power you through the morning or afternoon commute, badges, and of course a RAFFLE for ... you guessed it SOCKS!  We will send out an email to let you know where we will be.

We are excited to report Bike Share is coming soon to Rancho Cordova and Folsom with Gotcha bikes
Gotcha empowers communities to lead happier, more productive lives through alternative forms of transportation specifically designed for each market served. Gotcha currently operates more than 50 shared e-mobility systems in cities and universities across the US. For more information, visit
To initiate a rental, riders need to download the Gotcha app in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store and create an account. Riders can locate a bike within the app on the map, unlock, and start cruising.

New Board Members in Place

With the new year and a new Executive Director, the 50 Corridor TMA seated new Executive Board Members.  

Bree Taylor with the Sacramento County Airports is our new Chair, Art Starkovich is the vice Chair, Chris Holmes is Treasurer, and Brett Bollinger is the Secretary.  Bree is an employee with Sacramento County Airports, Art is with SMUD, Chris is with VSP, and Brett if from the Folsom.
