GCR Conferences
Over two days, through the powers of Zoom, the Civix team along with the FAA gave an in-depth study of the airport data elements that appear on the FAA’s form 5010. The team also gave an introduction to the Airport Master Record module inside the FAA’s Airport Data and Information Portal. Nearly 200 people registered for the virtual training.
Day 1 included 3 sessions that gave an overview of the airport data and information program. Day 1 also focused on General Information, Runway Data and Lighting, and Services and Facilities data elements. Day 2 included 3 sessions that focused on Declared Distances and Obstruction Data, data elements along with an Obstruction Survey Method Example. Also discussed was Based Aircraft & Operations, National Based Aircraft Inventory Program, and Airport Remarks. The seminar concluded with a class on Registration and Data Entry into ADIP.

A primary focus of the training was to provide airport operators with the tools, standards, and recommended practices used to determine changes needed to the airport’s published data and whether the results of the inspection represent safety concerns.
