51 Days to LUM Jubilee Christmas 2018
Make a Donation - Volunteer - Collect Toys
On Saturday, December 8 , LUM Jubilee Christmas  will host local families at 27 different sites impacting over 1,200 children . Open registration was this past Monday, and 654 families were registered in person and by phone. LUM Jubilee Christmas is now FULL , but below are ways in which you, your family or your church/organization may still get engaged and have an impact.

DONATE - Monetary gifts are preferred but donations of new, unwrapped toys, books, clothing (newborn to 12-year-olds), and quilts/family blankets. The Jubilee Christmas Donation Center will be open Monday, November 26 through Tuesday, December 4, weekdays from 1 – 5 p.m. (420 N 4th Street, Lafayette). VOLUNTEER - Jubilee Christmas volunteers are also needed. There are many volunteer opportunities, especially for groups, after Thanksgiving (Monday, November 26 through Thursday, December 6) and on Jubilee Christmas day (Saturday, December 8). To sign up, click HERE .

Once again, Holder Bedding, Inc. of Lafayette is sponsoring the annual LUM "Match Program."

Starting November 1, your donation to Lafayette Urban Ministry will be matched dollar-for-dollar.

Chili Cook Off to Benefit LUM - TOMORROW
Hosted by Bindery Artist Studio & LaLa Gallery
Join us for the annual Chili Cook Off sponsored by the Bindery Artist Studio and LaLa Gallery . The event features chili tasting, giveaways for community participants, free activities for kids, LaLa Gallery chili bowl sale, clay projects and craft stations. And all proceeds will be donated to Lafayette Urban Ministry. Event details are as follows:

  • Date: TOMORROW, October 19
  • Time: 6-8 p.m.
  • Place: Bindery Artist Studios, 511 Ferry Street, Lafayette
  • Admission: $5 for adults; FREE for children

Rent-A-Rower for Your Yard Work & Projects
One Purdue Rower - 5 Hours of Work - Only $75
Rent-A-Rower is a unique service provided by  Purdue Crew that allows YOU (members of the community) to hire rowing athletes to help out with housework, yard work and other tasks - and all proceeds benefit Purdue Crew & rowing.

  • $75 for up to 5 hours of work (donation is tax deductible)
  • 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.
  • Saturdays — October 27 & November 10; and Sundays — October 21 & November 18 (make up day)

If you would like to participate in the Purdue Crew’s Rent-A-Rower program — and hire a rower to help out with work around your house, please fill out this   FORM.
