2019 SPRING CONVOCATION DETAILS

The Alabama Regions Spring Convocation will be Friday-Saturday, March 8-9, 2019 on the campus of Miles College. The registration forms, hotel information and a complete schedule can be found at    www.cmefifthdistrict.org . Pre-registration is due by March 1 st and the cutoff for hotel reservations is also March 1 st .

On Friday, March 8 th at 11 am, Rev. Clarence Kelby Heath will preach the Miles College Founders' Day Service. On Friday night, March 8 th at 7 pm, Rev. Dr. Micheal Williams, pastor of Unity CME Church, Bessemer, will preach for the Missionary Service.

The Florida Region Spring Convocation will be Friday-Saturday, March 29-30 , 2019 at Holsey Temple CME Church, Jacksonville . The registration forms, hotel information and a complete schedule can be found at   www.cmefifthdistrict.org . T he cutoff for hotel reservations is also March 1 st and p re-registration is due by March 15 th .

On Friday, March 29 th , the Missionaries will be holding special workshops in the afternoon and a worship service at 7 pm.

Also, don't forget to bring the items listed on the registration form for our missions donations!

A bi g thank you to all the churches, pastors, Board of Trustee members and individuals who made donations to Phillips School of Theology in January. The Fifth District donated more than $39,184 when you include the registration of a record number of 123 persons for the 2019 PST Pastors' C onference.

For March, our goal is to raise $40,000 for Miles College. Please give all donations to your Presiding Elders.


2018 CME BOOK OF DISCIPLINE ORDERS

The Presiding Elders are currently receiving pre-orders for the new Book of Discipline. Orders should be given to them no later than February 28 th . The Discipline should be printed and ready for delivery by the time of Annual Conference. This is the only time the Presiding Elders or my office will take orders. After this, all orders will need to be made directly through the CME Department of Publications.

THE EPISCOPAL OFFICE IS MOVING SOON!

Stay tuned for the official announcement that the Fifth Episcopal District Office has moved to its new office space at 2615 12th Avenue, North in Uptown Birmingham. The finishing touches are being put in place and we hope to move around mid-March!
