See Heart of Dance on KARE 11!
Watch Friday night's KARE 11 story on Heart of Dance by clicking here. See 5th graders at Windom Dual Immersion School in Minneapolis as they perform for their classmates, teachers, and parents. You'll hear the story of Sam, a young man who gave up his spot at the Colors of the Rainbow Team Match for a teammate:

"He was really bummed out when he didn't make it, and I thought he should have made it. And so I thought, well I'm going to be happy dancing too, but I'm also going to be happy seeing him dancing so it's like a win-win."

See Respect, Elegance, and Teamwork change lives. Join Sam as he cheers on his teammates next Sunday at the Colors of the Rainbow Team Match.

Educators:  There is still time to bring Heart of Dance to your school next year!

Our free events are an easy way to learn more about Dancing Classrooms from your peers.  Register for  The Colors of the Rainbow Team Match on May 7 here. Or if you can come to our  Dancing with Heart luncheon May 9, we will seat you with our educator partners.  Contact Ember at emberrj@heartofdancemn.org
for May 9 luncheon seating or for a meeting on site at your school this month. As Dr. Charvez Russell says from Friendship Academy of the Arts, a two-year Heart of Dance partner, "You'll appreciate your decision!"
Thank you!

We could not do this without your amazing support.
Thank you for joining Heart of Dance on this journey!

Programming is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Metropolitan Regional Arts Council, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund. We are also grateful for the support of The Emerald Foundation, F. R. Bigelow Foundation, Mardag Foundation and The Saint Paul Foundation, as well as many generous individual donors and volunteers. This activity is funded, in part, by an appropriation from the Minnesota State Legislature with money from the State's general fund.
