I'm Alive
Weekly Encouragement:
We are Alive

The Apostle Paul wrote, it is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives within me. When we come to this place of letting Jesus fill our spirit with His, we find a sort of death that occurs of our old life and a resurrection into a new one. Baptism is a perfect image of one dying and coming back to life and it is what we as the Creek offer once a quarter to all who will come to the Living Waters of Jesus.

Could this be us by next spring?
What if?

The needs, NOTP, are only increasing as we see more families struggling in impverished pockets around us. What if the Creek had a trailer we could serve free meals out of each month at the point of need while praying for families who came for the food? Sounds like a Great Samaritan idea so I ask that you start praying for how we might go about this. TC

2017 YTD Expenses:  $ 11,395.00

NOTE: WE HAD SAVINGS COMING INTO 2017 THAT HAS COVERED THE PASTORAL HOUSING ALLOWANCE. THIS IS NOW USED UP ALONG WITH OUR LOSS OF THREE DONORS WHO HAVE MOVED WHICH IS WHY WE ARE SEEING DEFICIT. THE DECISION WILL BE TO ADJUST THE BUDGET UNTIL DONATIONS INCREASE.

2017 Stories of Ministry
A repairman came to the Colwell home last week and did his fridge repair really well. In conversation, Todd asked him when prompted how is family was doing and he mentioned an ailing father scenario. When I heard this, I asked if we might pray in that moment and he said yes as if waking out of a dream. When finished, he was moved to tears and expressed gratitude as the Lord had clearly comforted him and given him hope. Anita and I, as missionary pastors, are faced daily with the wreckage of a suffering humanity and we want nothing more than to equip others to minister the same gospel of the Kingdom with signs and wonders as Jesus has imparted to us.

We teach the Scriptures to mean that every follower of Christ is asked to give to their local church regularly, generously, and cheerfully for the care of pastoral servants, church family, neighbors, and the poor out of a life of financial integrity and simplicity. That's it! Nothing else but Love. Love stories pile up every week from the ministry the Creek is engaged in and for that very reason, we continue forward.
