Class of 2019 Hepatitis A & Meningitis Immunization Requirements

Attention Class of 2019! The State of Indiana has a new immunization requirement that states all students in the 12th grade MUST   have a booster Meningococcal vaccination (MCV4, Menactra, or Menveo) and a 2 dose series of Hepatitis A immunization (doses must be at least 6 months apart) .  These vaccines  are required for high school entry . This prevents Meningitis outbreaks in college dorms. If you had your first shot of MCV4 at age 16 or older, the booster shot is not required. Please note there is also a 2 dose series of Meningoccal B strain which is NOT required but recommended .  The Cardinal Ritter clinic needs you to get this  done before next August OR provide documentation as having already completed this requirement . Thanks for your cooperation and let Nurse Feltz know if you have any questions. Click here to view the 2018-2019 school year immunization requirements.
