IT'S TIME TO SELECT YOUR PROM NIGHT!
MAKE YOUR SELECTION NOW!
Based on the news we shared with you yesterday, it is time for EVERY STUDENT with a Ticket or a Guest Voucher to select which night they will attend Prom 2020! You will log into your family's prom account at www.TxCHP.com and after logging in, go to your family dashboard.
At the TOP of the dashboard, you'll see the clickable link:
CLICK HERE TO CHOOSE YOUR 2020 PROM DATE
Click on the link to find the page with details about making your selection. Once you've made your selection, you'll be able to see on your dashboard that you are attending on either Friday July 17 or Saturday July 18 with your student profile.
TALK TO YOUR FRIENDS!!!
Our hope is that you have discussed nights with your friends already and that you're all planning to select the same one. Spots for each evening are first-come, first-served and you will have until
Sunday, June 14 at 10:00PM
to complete that process.
There is a maximum for each evening, so once an evening reaches its designated capacity, no more students may select that evening and will need to select the other open evening. After all the selections have been made and the app has been updated, you'll be able to see your evening selection on your profile page in the event app, along with your ticket info, your eventual seating assignment, etc.
(Need help logging into your account? Please email
and please be aware that there are lots of other people emailing and asking for similar help.
CHOOSE A NIGHT!!!
- Our suggestion is that if you live WEST or NORTH of the DFW Airport (i.e., Tarrant, Denton, and beyond) you select the Friday night option.
- And if you live EAST and SOUTH of the DFW Airport (Dallas, Collin, Rockwall, and beyond), the Saturday night option.
- If you live more than 100 miles from the metroplex, you may wish to retain your original night.
***These are not requirements, but we hope it will help you on the larger scale to end up with more of the students you know and are used to seeing at dance lessons and other homeschooling activities during the year.
TRANSFER DEADLINE EXTENDED!!!
To ease the pressure a little bit, we are extending the Transfer deadline, the Group Seating deadline, and the additional items Purchase deadline to
WHAT OTHER CHANGES WILL WE SEE?
As we have worked with the Frisco Convention and Visitor Bureau, the Mayor's Office, and the Embassy Suites team to meet requirements for gatherings, we have come up with some very helpful additions to our processes, including:
- Temperature check prior to the entering the student check-in line
- "No-contact" alterations if needed during dress check or throughout the evening
- Smaller numbers of students at each table in the ballroom
- Meal servers wearing protective equipment
- Meals being served with the cloche (plate cover) intact
- Multiple dance floors to further accommodate social distancing
- Santitizers available throughout the venue
- Constant disinfecting of high-touch areas like stair rails, door knobs, etc.
PLEASE NOTE: We are NOT requiring the STUDENTS to wear masks!
HOW WILL GROUP SEATING BE IMPACTED?
Our hope is that your whole group will all choose the same evening to attend. In the event that all of the guests in your group are not available on the same evening, you can remove them from your seating opening up a space to invite someone else. The seating reservation is linked to the HOST - so if you don't select the same night as the host, you'll need a new seating reservation.
As for the tables themselves, large groups containing 10 or more students will be assigned to two adjoining tables and the line on your event app will show the entire assignment, for example "BLUE 101-102 FRI" or "GREEN 10-11 SAT" indicating the seating zone, the table range for your group, and the day of your prom attendance.
Our Group Seating coordinator (and her parent volunteer calling team) may contact hosts to finalize their group lists and may also contact students who remain unassigned. So, we are asking you to pay attention to the details and make your seating reservations after selecting your specific prom day. If you need assistance with your group seating, please email Jill at
A HUGE THANK YOU!
We know this has been one of the craziest season of most of your lives! With all that has been going on in 2020, we are so thankful that the details have come together to allow us to continue with this fun event! We know how important is it to the students to get to have SOME of the fun! Prom is sure to be amazing! And we are thankful for the countless hours that dozens of parent volunteers are putting into service to these students and their guests and their families. The many leaders over each area and their key volunteers and assistants have been such a blessing and encouragement during this process! We hope you will join our Board in thanking the entire leadership team for doing their part to make Prom 2020 happen!
