One in-person summer service at 10am

Soul Friends | Rachel Naomi Remen

Selections from Isaiah 43:1-5 | Guest Preacher Janet Morey

We never really walk alone. Soul Friends accompany us on our spiritual journey. Explore the path with us through July 12 at 10:00am worship!

Church Online continues weekly at 10am.

Special Music During Worship: During Sunday's worship, we will be blessed by the vocals of Laurel Kaeferlein and Mark Fleischhaker. We look forward to this special time of music and worship together!

Volunteers Needed for Worship Technology

We are looking for volunteers to help run the PowerPoint presentations and sound system during our worship services. No prior experience is necessary; training will be provided. For more information about what is involved or to volunteer, please email Steven C Anderson. Your assistance helps make our worship services run smoothly and is greatly appreciated!

Coffee for Widows/ers

All are welcome, regardless of how long you have been widowed. If you have any questions or need more information, please feel free to reach out to Karen Fairchild at 651-426-4725. We look forward to connecting with you!

Manitou Days Parade

WBLUMC has been invited to march in the Manitou Days parade as part of a coalition of LGBTQ+ affirming churches in the area. The parade is June 19th at 6:30pm. If you would like to be part of the team, please email Pastor Christine

Sandwich Sunday

Join us for sandwich-making Sun., June 21 at 11am right after our 10am service. Our sandwiches go to Waite House in Minneapolis to serve those experiencing food insecurity. We'll make 300 bologna and cheese sandwiches in room 200. All are welcome to help; gloves and masks are required. This is a fun activity and a good way to get to know people in the congregation. You're welcome to grab a doughnut and coffee before coming to help!

Stage Update

The upgraded stage will be completed for this Sunday's concert. Thanks to all who have helped rebuild:

Larry Kerr, Loren Jacot, Mark Hebaus, Jim McGlauflin, Tom Dalhoff and Jeff Lanto.

The Misquoted Bible Class Series

Have you ever wondered if that parable or quote is actually in the Bible? If it is, do we even use it correctly? If it's not, why do people think it is? In this series we will explore quotes and witticisms often attributed to the Bible and find out if they really mean what we think they do. Starting June 23 thru Aug. 4 from 2-3:30pm, join Pastor Christine for this 6-week class on Tuesdays in room 200.

Lost & Found

Items that have accumulated will be on display in Fellowship Hall from May 31–June 14. Any items not retrieved by that time will be donated to Goodwill on Mon., June 15. Please stop by to see if you’ve left something behind! Contact the church office with questions.

Clare Thorwick celebrates her 95th birthday on June 20th!

Please join us on June 20th in Fellowship Hall to celebrate this fun lady! Come anytime between 1:00-5:00pm for cake, beverages and HUGS!

Clare was given the nickname Lily by our dear friend, Lydia, as she has always worn mostly hand-me-downs or hand made clothing. This carefree lifestyle is celebrated in the Bible verse, "Consider the lilies of the field. They toil not, neither do they spin, yet even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these." Recently, Clare's 9th great-grandchild was born and named Lily! You will see lilies in church on Sun., June 21 morning for Clare.

Please RSVP to Clare's daughter Jennifer by clicking on this link.

Bridging Delivery

Thanks to the generous support of our congregation during the May bake sale, John Schmidt was able to deliver six cases of bed sheets to Bridging this past week. Your contributions are making a meaningful difference for families in need. Thank you for your continued generosity and support.

Green Team Tip of the Month

Another Way to Conserve Water:

One quarter-pound beef burger requires enough water to fill 10 bathtubs. Simply swapping one a month for a veggie burger would result in 5,400 gallons of water saved per year. Producing turkey burgers is also less costly to our water supply. Going meatless helps even more. What you eat matters to the planet.

Learn more about the Green Team by attending a meeting! Join us on the first

Monday of each month at 7pm in room 200. See the church calendar for updates.
