Message from the Principal
Cardinal Ritter Community,

It's been a very busy summer here at Cardinal Ritter High School. We just completed our summer jumpstart math program, wrapped up our summer composition course, and have had a ball with all of the sports camps taking place at the school.

The building has also undergone some fantastic upgrades. Our blockhouse project is getting near completion, we have installed a new lock system on the doors, and our classrooms are getting re-waxed and beautified.

Academically, we are beyond excited for what next year brings. With the installation of multiple new Sharp Active Boards and the integration of new digital tools for our students and teachers, we look forward to innovative teaching and learning.

It's a great time to be a Raider and I look forward to the start of what is sure to be a fantastic 2019 - 2020 school year.

God Bless,
Steven Pelych

Class of 2020 Hepatitis A & Meningitis Immunization Requirements

Attention Class of 2020! The state of Indiana has additional 12th grade immunization requirements that states all students in 12th grade MUST have a booster Meningococcal vaccination (MCV4, Menactra, or Menveo) after age 16 & a 2 dose series of Hepatitis A immunizations (doses must be at least 6 months apart). These vaccines  are required for high school entry . If you had your first shot of MCV4 at age 16 or older, the booster shot is not required. Please note there is also a 2 dose series of Meningoccal B strain which is NOT required but is recommended to be done. The Cardinal Ritter clinic needs you to get this  done before next August OR provide documentation as having already completed this requirement.   Nurse Feltz will be contacting families by email and letters to let you know what documentation the clinic is missing for your student, or you may look in the immunization section of family link. Thanks for your cooperation and please let Nurse Feltz know if you have any questions ( pfeltz@cardinalritter.org ).

SCRIP Information
INSTRUCTIONS FOR ONLINE ORDERING

1. Go to  shopwithscrip.com  and create an account. Our organization code is FE97AB26258L.
2. Once your account is created, click on "Shop" and browse the hundreds of products available
3. After your order is complete, choose your payment method - either check or PrestoPay. You DO NOT have to use PrestoPay to order online. If you choose check, just send your payment in with your student on Monday morning.
4. Look for your order to come home on Wednesday or Thursday-unless you ordered ScripNow (e-certificates) or Reloads. Those will be available as soon as the order is processed on Monday if you pay by check, or almost immediately if you pay with PrestoPay.
5. Click here for more detailed instructions.
Dear Cardinal Ritter Family,

Due to declining Scrip sales, we have decided to suspend all orders of physical cards effective July 1 st . We will still be utilizing the sale of e-certificates and reloads through the Great Lakes Shop with Scrip website (www.shopwithscrip.com), and we will still be sharing in the profits in the same way we always have. In addition, if you do have an order over $1,000 that includes physical cards, special arrangements can be made with Connie Grider to place this order.

Ordering online is extremely easy and convenient! You can order and access both eGift cards and reloadable gift cards either at www.shopwithscrip.com or on ShopWithScrip’s mobile website, MyScripWallet™ . With MyScripWallet™ , use online payments at checkout and access your scrip right on your smartphone. This means that you can shop for scrip whenever and wherever you need to - no planning ahead necessary! All you need is an account with Great Lakes using the organization code for Cardinal Ritter of FE97AB26258L. You will have to set up a PrestoPay account, which does require you to provide your checking account number. Sales will include a 15¢ charge for each transaction, but profits will far outweigh that small convenience fee. Remember when you place an order, certificates and reloads are available within 24 hours…sometimes within minutes! You can be in line at the register, log into your account to order the needed amount, and have it available to you by the time you need to pay! Also, by using the MyScripWallet™ app, you can order multiple certificates in advance to save on the convenience fee and store them for when you are ready to use them.

We will be placing one more order on June 25th…so if you want to order those cards that are available for reload, you can do it then. Simply either drop your order off in the office or start placing your order on-line. The cards will be available for pickup by the end of that week.
We have attached several instructional flyers to help you through this transition, which include help getting started, a list of all those vendors who offer e-certificates and reloads, information regarding PrestoPay and how to use MyScripWallet™ .

If you have any questions regarding this change, please contact Connie Grider at 317-752-6769, or by e-mail at csg65@comcast.net . We thank you for your continued support, and for your understanding and cooperation as we make this change.

Sincerely,

Connie Grider, Scrip Coordinator
