We are staying abreast of changes in our community and closely following the weekly updates from the Alameda County Department of Public Health and Alameda County Office of Education who jointly provide information on modifications to school guidelines. We are using these, as well as your comments from the Parent Feedback Survey, as a road map for our school plan.
The parent survey was sent to the 267 returning families and we received 186 responses. Many of you shared how grateful you are for your teachers and their work to maintain a sense of connection and normalcy in your children’s lives during this difficult time. We can see that many of you appreciated the morning meetings or circle times and your children particularly enjoyed the small group and one on one opportunities.
We appreciate your thoughtful and constructive feedback into how we can improve upon the distance learning program if ever needed in the future. This year placed our school and teachers in a position we never expected and we worked hard to provide continued education and engagement with your children and families. As Montessorians, we are constantly seeking to learn and improve and your input, including your questions and comments, provided valuable insight. Here are results to the key questions:
