Due to the
clear evidence of community spread
in Pinellas County,
face masks will be mandatory
for every person while in any inside public space beginning at 5 PM today.
People whose health, safety, or security may be negatively impacted by wearing a mask are exempt.
The Board of County Commissioners also
new rules for businesses
Mandatory face masks for staff while preparing or serving food or beverages, or having customer contact.
Customers can remove their masks while eating and drinking while seated
Six foot separation of chairs and tables and no standing or congregating areas
Enforcement is the responsibility of owners, managers, and employees, and businesses who don't comply
risk losing their liquor licenses
Fines are $100 for a first violation, $250 for a second violation and $500 for a third violation.
Businesses are encouraged to call the Sheriff's Office at 727-582-6200 for assistance with patron compliance
Applications for round 3 of
Fighting Chance Funding
are now available! Eligibility criteria has been expanded to include:
Businesses with 50 employees or less
Remember, if you previously applied and were deemed ineligible, you must reapply for this round.
