One in-person summer service at 10am

Soul Friends: Christina Rossetti | Luke 1: 46-55

Pastor Christine Ford

We never really walk alone. Soul Friends accompany us on our spiritual journey. Explore the path with us through July 12 at 10:00am worship!

Church Online continues weekly at 10am.

This Sunday, we're pleased to feature Billy McLaughlin as our music guest. A talented musician, artist, and good neighbor who lives near the church, Billy has long been a positive presence in our community. Be sure to join us again on Sun., July 19, at 4:00pm when Billy and SimpleGifts perform as part of our Music on the Lawn series.

IN THE NEWS: Steven & Jillian Anderson will be on WCCO TV news (Ch4) on Sunday morning at 7am and then performing with Billy at our 10am in-person service!

Volunteers Needed for Worship Technology

We are looking for volunteers to help run the PowerPoint presentations and sound system during our worship services. No prior experience is necessary; training will be provided. For more information about what is involved or to volunteer, please email Steven C Anderson. Your assistance helps make our worship services run smoothly and is greatly appreciated!

The Misquoted Bible Class Series

Have you ever wondered if that parable or quote is actually in the Bible? If it is, do we even use it correctly? If it's not, why do people think it is? In this series we will explore quotes and witticisms often attributed to the Bible and find out if they really mean what we think they do. Tuesdays thru Aug. 4 from 2-3:30pm, join Pastor Christine for this 6-week class on Tuesdays in room 200.

Women’s Golf Group

On Wed. July 1, we will play at Oak Marsh Golf Course. If you are interested in playing or would like more information, please email Marcia Lantto, alternate contact is Carol Effertz 651-429-6023.  To view the 2026 Golf Schedule, please click here or on the photo. We hope to see you soon.

Yogadevotion

Join Jean for a special summer combination class in Fellowship Hall on Tuesday evenings at 5:00 PM (June 23-July 28). This welcoming class brings together participants from both Redeemer Lutheran and White Bear Lake United Methodist Church, and all are invited to attend.

Jean is a long-time Yogadevotion instructor whose years of experience, compassionate teaching style, and thoughtful guidance create a practice that is accessible, encouraging, and meaningful. Whether you are new to yoga or have been practicing for years, you'll find a supportive community as you build strength, improve flexibility, and experience renewed well-being for body, mind, and spirit.

To register for the class, please click HERE or on the photo above.

Marketfest

Our church will again host a booth at White Bear Lake Marketfest on Thurs., July 23. If you would like to volunteer to help, (hours are 6-9pm) please email Linda Anderson or call her at 651-592-7452.

Hallway Art: "Members in Focus"

Help us celebrate the people who make up our church family! We are creating a new hallway photo exhibit, “Members in Focus,” featuring the people who make WBLUMC such a welcoming and vibrant community. Send us a favorite photo of yourself, your family, or a moment that reflects who you are. Together, we'll create a gallery that celebrates the heart of our church: its people. Email photos to Mary Ellen Calderwood at medecalderwood@aol.com

Sandwich Sunday Thank You!

A huge thank you to the volunteers who made 300+ sandwiches for Waite House in Minneapolis on Sunday. Thanks also to Pat Olawsky who shopped for the meat, cheese and bread & to Mike & Barb Hinz for delivering the sandwiches to Waite House. Waite House really appreciates our help!

Dorcas Circle Diaper Update

With the assistance of the congregation, Dorcas Circle sewed 88 diapers and had 12 more donated for a total of 100 diapers and diaper pins. They are now off to Sierra Leone, in western Africa, with the Rural Health Care Initiative, for newborn babies and their mothers. With the help of Rural Health Care and other initiatives in Sierra Leone, infant morality rates are decreasing from one of the highest rates in the world. Thank you so much for helping with this important initiative!

Renewing Our Spaces for Ministry

Carpeting Install

If you've been in the church recently, you've probably noticed that new carpet is being installed from the Narthex to the east doors and the Education Wing. This project replaces carpeting that was damaged when the skylight leaked and was later replaced.

We are grateful for the generous donation that made this improvement possible. The new carpet will help keep these areas welcoming and comfortable for our congregation, visitors, and the many community groups who use our building.

Community Gardens

New signage has been installed for our Community Gardens! These signs help tell the story of this important community ministry and provide information for those interested in renting a garden plot.

Each growing season, the church offers fenced-in garden plots to the public. Church volunteers prepare the plots by rototilling and fertilizing them in the spring, and irrigation is provided throughout the season at no additional cost to renters.

We extend our sincere thanks to Denise and Larry Kerr for their leadership, organization, and dedication to the Community Gardens. Their hard work helps make this ministry a blessing to our congregation and community.

Green Team Tip of the Month

Another Way to Conserve Water:

One quarter-pound beef burger requires enough water to fill 10 bathtubs. Simply swapping one a month for a veggie burger would result in 5,400 gallons of water saved per year. Producing turkey burgers is also less costly to our water supply. Going meatless helps even more. What you eat matters to the planet.

Learn more about the Green Team by attending a meeting! Join us on the first

Monday of each month at 7pm in room 200. See the church calendar for updates.
