The annual Consumer Confidence Report includes basic information on the source(s) of your drinking water, the levels of any contaminants that were detected in the water during that calendar year, and compliance with other drinking water rules, as well as some educational materials.

Vehicle & Boat Launch Stickers Now Available at: Johnsburg Mobil

Sticker fees:

• Johnsburg residents: $10

• Non-residents: $50

• Second-half renewal stickers are prorated

• Not available for Commercial Use


Please complete the application and submit payment before receiving your sticker. Illinois e-Pay is the preferred payment method.


Decals must be placed on the lower passenger-side corner of the vehicle windshield.

McHenry County Conservation District (MCCD) Survey: Forward to 2040 with a Vision to 2071

The McHenry County Conservation District is developing its Comprehensive Conservation Plan, Forward to 2040 with a Vision to 2071, which will guide conservation priorities, parks, trails, natural resources, and community investments for the next decade and beyond. Community members are encouraged to participate by completing a brief public survey and sharing their feedback. Please consider taking a few minutes to participate and share the survey with family, friends, neighbors, and organizations.


Feedback collected will help identify priorities and influence future planning and resource allocation through MCCD. 

Dutch Creek Estates Road Resurfacing Update

(Ph.1 & Ph.2)

Project Timeline:

Milling begins Monday, June 29 and runs through Wednesday, July 1. Patching and paving will follow. Project completion is expected by end of August 2026, weather permitting.


Resident Notices:

• No Parking / Fresh Oil signs: 24 hours ahead

• Road closure/access notices: 72 hours ahead


Garbage Collection:

Friday pickup will continue as usual unless otherwise notified.


Reminder:

Please use caution in work zones, follow posted signage, and watch the e-Blast/Facebook for weekly updates.

No Parking 2:00 a.m. – 6:00 a.m.

Overnight Parking FAQ

Can I park on a Village street overnight?

No. Parking on Village streets is not allowed between 2:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. for more than 30 minutes. (Village Municipal Code Section 15.9 (C)


Is this being enforced?

Yes. Overnight parking enforcement is active and ongoing.


Can I request an exception?

Yes. Requests must be submitted before the overnight parking period.


How do I request an exception?

Submit a request through Frontline | Johnsburg or call the Johnsburg Police Department Non-Emergency line at 815-385-6024.


Reminder: Please share this information with family members, visitors, tenants, and guests to help avoid citations.

Open Burning of Landscape Waste Prohibited

Landscape waste can only be burned during the months of April, May, October and November provided that setbacks and other requirements can be met. Recreational fires, ceremonial fires are exempt but may not be larger than 3’x3’x3’ and cannot contain leaves, grass or shrubbery clippings. Click here for the requirements. 



Violators will be cited.

Village Landscape Waste Pick-Up

The Village's residential yard waste pick-up began April 1 and includes the removal of up to 8 bags, cans or bundles of landscape waste per week.

When bundling brush, each bundle must but be secured with biodegradable twine, no longer than 4’ in length, 2’ in diameter and no branch can be larger than 3” in diameter
