The ROTY program involves the selection of a MJAR REALTOR® member who has contributed the most to the advancement of their community and the REALTOR® organization at all three levels (local, state, and national) and who has had significant involvement in civic and charitable activities. The award recipient will be determined by the MJAR REALTOR® of the Year Task Force and submitted by MJAR to New Jersey REALTORS® for consideration for the state REALTOR® of the Year Award. MJAR is accepting applications for 2025 Board of Director positions. Candidates must have a current MJAR membership. The three year term runs from January 1, 2025 through December 31, 2027. If you’re interested in serving your fellow members and MJAR in a volunteer leadership role beginning January 1, 2025, submit the completed application form by August 1, 2024.

This in-person CE class includes a detailed review of the 17 articles of the Code of Ethics, including how the articles of the Code compare to the licensing obligations, what to do when someone does not comply, and best practices to avoid arbitration. The class will focus particularly on the most recent changes of the last few years, and will include discussion and extensive use of examples and situations.

First-time buyers represented 31% of buyers, down from 33% in April 2024 but up from 28% in May 2023; 28% of buyers had all-cash sales, flat from one month ago but up from 25% one year ago. With supply still limited relative to demand, 30% of homes sold above list price in May, up from April’s 27% but flat from 31% a year ago. Is there an NAR MLS policy about seller concessions?
No, MLSs will continue to have local discretion on seller concessions. This includes determining what local rules to have about seller concessions, except under the settlement an MLS must ensure that the seller concessions are not limited to or conditioned upon the retention of or payment to a cooperating broker, buyer broker, or other buyer representative. New Supra Reciprocity
Mid Jersey Association of REALTORS® now has a Supra reciprocity agreement in place with the Greater Lehigh Valley REALTORS®, which includes the following counties in Pennsylvania:
- Lehigh County
- Northampton County
- Carbon County
An agent or broker, must be licensed in PA to receive access and the key must have been issued by Mid Jersey Association of REALTORS®.
To activate the reciprocity with Greater Lehigh Valley REALTORS®, email Jerri McClendon at Jerrlynn@MidJerseyAOR.com, and provide your serial number, PIN, and that your key is from Mid Jersey Association of REALTORS®.

REALTORS® are required to complete ethics training of not less than 2 hours and 30 minutes of instructional time. The training must meet specific learning objectives and criteria established by the National Association of REALTORS®. Note: NAR Code of Ethics training cycles run on a triennial basis.
