Grey Seal #22-025 stranded on April 6th in Brigantine, suffering from injuries to his lower jaw and chest. A few weeks later, Grey Seal #22-056 stranded on April 25th in Sea Isle City. This tough little one had been through a lot, having sustained wounds consistent with canine bites on her head. Both seals spent over one month at Marine Mammal Stranding Center recovering from their wounds, before being moved to our large 30-foot pool to exercise and build up their muscles to prepare for their return to the wild. The big day came on May 31st, when both seals were transported to one of our release sites and set free back into the ocean.
Watch the seals return home!
