Program
Drs. Hardee and Guerra will share an overview of the covid-19 vaccines - how they were created and how they are being distributed in our region. They will talk about race and racism in healthcare. They will share factual data and resources to support our community in its health and well-being. There will be some time for Q&A.
Our Speakers
Dr. Hardee D.O/ PhD received his B.S in Science of Food Nutrition with a minor in Chemistry from Virginia Tech in 2002.

He was a member of the Virginia Tech football team, position: strong safety. He received his osteopathic medical degree from the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2007. He also completed his PhD in International Health Education from Virginia Tech in 2008.

He completed his traditional rotating internship from Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pennsylvania; and, Family Medicine Residency at Montgomery Regional Hospital, Blacksburg.

Dr. Hardee practices medicine at the Community Health Center of the New River Valley, and Med Express Urgent Care. He is also the Associate Chair of Family Medicine and Rural Primary Care at the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine. He enjoy outdoors activities, spending time with family, and Christian Apologetics. He has two children with his best friend Dr. Sofia Abraham-Hardee DO/PhD.
Dr. Guerra Specializes in Family Medicine. He received his medical degree from University of Central Florida College of Medicine where he graduated Summa Cum Laude.

He then completed his residency at Southern Regional Area Health Education Center, Cape Fear Valley Hospital where he received numerous academic and teaching awards.

He is serving as a physician for the Community Health Center of the New River Valley (CHNRV) and joined the staff there in the summer of 2019.

Dr. Guerra is fluent in English and Spanish. His interests include guitar, singing, coaching and mentoring youth, and studying theology.
