I've been off the forum for a few years and I'd like to get active again and bring the group up to speed on my 65 LS swap. I spent three years doing the restoration on my car which was completed in 2014.

So, under a work bench in my dad's basement I found a big box of old license plates. I spent the day hanging them up in my man cave/garage.

How much better is the brakes from a -51 to -54 compared to the brakes on a -50? I have just repainted and bought some new parts for my 50 Coupe when i read that a swap to the newer brakes would be a big inprovement. Is there anyone out there that can tell me how much better it is

Floor Insulation / Sound Reducer (61-64 Fullsize Forum)

So, my 49's frame is super clean after steam cleaning. Only light surface rust on most of it. I am wrestling with having it blasted or just going over it with wire cup brush on the side grinder. Opinions???

Got another one in the shop, a 1964 BelAir sedan. This thing is a bare bones base model, 250 six, 3 on the tree and radio delete. No power steering or power brakes lol!

Help decoding a 57 cowl Tag (55-57 Stock Forum)

I have checked all the resources I can find but still have a couple of cowl tag questions that I can't answer. 
The car is a 57 210 sport sedan that I have owned for 32 years, so I know the car fairly well.

It probably goes without saying that we have all had some experience using stuff from China and found it to be CRAP.

I am some what amazed at the escalating prices asked for early 60s full size cars. One has to be extremely lucky to find a near rust free example in the desired body configuration of choice at a realistic
value.
