YOUTH IN GOVERNMENT CONFERENCE

Congratulations to the student delegates who participated in the 2024 Youth in Government Conference from January 4th-January 7th.

Youth in Government is a program where high school students get to serve as legislators, judges, attorneys, lobbyists, representatives, and other government officials in a mock government. They hold meetings throughout the fall to prepare for the four day student-run YIG Conference, which takes place at the Minnesota State Capitol and the Hilton Hotel in Minneapolis!

Leaders Alex Hoag, Cayden Kuss, Sarah Peterson, Erik Lindell, Saul Zis, and advisor Emma Engebretson organized the second year of Youth in Government at SLPHS. Our delegation grew from 24 to 46 students from last year! Please congratulate the students who participated in our second year of being a delegation!
