SLPHS NOVEMBER FAMILY ENGAGEMENT NIGHT FEEDBACK REQUEST

Dear Families,

Thank you for participating in our school events and activities! We value your feedback as we work to improve family engagement and ensure our school meets the needs of all our students and families. Please take a moment to complete this form regarding the November family Engagement Night.

EXCITING NEWS: THE LINK IS ALMOST HERE!

We are excited to announce that The Link will officially open after winter break!

At the heart of St. Louis High Park School lied an abandoned courtyard. This open space has been reborn as a dynamic three-story learning environment known as The Link. This ambitious undertaking seamlessly integrates with existing structures, offering multiple access points and providing students with state-of-the-art learning spaces, breakout rooms, and an open environment conducive to collaboration.

We look forward to seeing everyone make the most of this fantastic new resource in the new year!

END OF LATE NIGHT ACTIVITY BUSES

Important Announcement: End of Late Night Activity Buses on Friday Nights out of the High School

Beginning January 2025, the Late Night Activity Buses will no longer be available on Friday nights for High School students. This change comes as part of our ongoing efforts to adjust transportation services to reflect demand and reduce costs.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we make this adjustment. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to David Hanson, St Louis Park Public Schools Transportation Coordinator.

Sincerely,

The 2025–26 FAFSA® Form Is Live!

Have you heard the news? The 2025–26 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®) form is available now at fafsa.gov!

Students who plan to attend college, career school, or trade school between July 1, 2025, and June 30, 2026, should fill out the FAFSA form right away to be eligible for as much aid as possible.

The following resources can help students prepare to fill out the form:

Create a StudentAid.gov account (if you don’t already have one).

Learn about the documents you need to fill out the FAFSA form.

Determine your dependency status and whether your parent(s) or spouse will be required to contribute information on your FAFSA form.

Federal Student Aid Estimator

Students and their families may want to use the Federal Student Aid Estimator before filling out the FAFSA form to help them understand their options for funding their journey through college or career school. This tool provides estimates based on the Student Aid Index (SAI) to determine how much federal student aid they may be eligible for.

Getting an estimate only takes 10 minutes or less!

AROUND THE SCHOOL

CHANGE TO CHILL

The holiday season can be a time of rest and stress. Thinking about balancing out tradition and what you really want to do, can be stressful. The important thing to note is that “No.” is a complete sentence. It’s okay to switch things around, honoring your time and doing those things that mean the most to you and your family. On the Change To Chill website, there are a few ways to practice mindfulness, all while enjoying the holidays, for example, practicing Mindful Eating or going for a Mindful Walk can help slow down the holiday frenzy. Check out these practices and others here.
