Dear St. Louis Park High School and Middle School Parents and Caregivers,

We are happy to share an update that will make accessing your Schoology parent/caregiver account even easier and more secure. Starting this fall, for the ‘25-’26 school year, all parent and caregiver accounts will be automatically created through our secure integration with PowerSchool, our student information system. This automated feature will apply to NEW accounts; see below for information regarding EXISTING parent/caregiver accounts.

New to Schoology?

• If you are a new parent or caregiver accessing Schoology for the first time, simply visit https://app.schoology.com/login/forgot, enter the email address you used when creating your PowerSchool Parent Portal account, and click “Send My Login Info.” You will receive an email with a link to access your account and set your password.

Already have a Schoology account?

• If you already have a Schoology account using your PowerSchool Parent Portal email, you can continue to log in as usual—your password will remain the same.

Existing account with a different email from PowerSchool?

• If your current Schoology account is not registered with your PowerSchool Parent Portal email, please follow the ‘New to Schoology’ steps above to transition to the correct account.

This new process will help ensure a smoother and more secure experience for our SLP Schoology families. There is no action needed at this time; please watch communications coming in August’s Back to School newsletters for more information.

Nix Casey-Fix and Lucas Collinet both auditioned for the Minnesota Music Educators’ Association All-State program this spring.

Students in high school bands, choirs, and orchestras audition for an All-State spot in March. Judges listen to the students, evaluating them on their overall musicianship and technique.

628 students are selected for 7 groups. Lucas Collinet was selected for the concert band, and Nix Casey-Fix was selected as an alternate.

Congratulations to them both as this is a highly selective opportunity!

The Health Education Leadership Council students presented to a total of 154 6th graders last week during Ms. Katie Hagen’s health classes!

The high school students spent the past year receiving training by Claire Weiss from myHealth Teen Clinic located in Hopkins. The training centered around cannabis and its impact on young people. They then paired up and presented to the Middle School Health classes. Everyone involved benefited greatly!

SLP Synchro reclaimed 3rd place at State, which hasn't been done since 2019. 7 routines placed in the top 7 and 4 routines placed in the top 3: 3rd place Charlotte Cox in Long Solo, 2nd place Axel O'Hara in Extended Solo, 2nd place Kaylee Crump, Elena Mutchler & Axel O'Hara in Extended Trio, and 2nd place Quinn Courneya, Alaina Dallum, Misha Persaud & Lydia Welsch in Long Team. 4 of our swimmers, Axel O'Hara, Charlotte Cox, Kaylee Crump & Elena Muthcler, placed in the top 10 for Extended Figures. We are incredibly proud of our athletes! 

Three athletes earned All-State: Kaylee Crump, Elena Mutchler & Axel O'Hara.

Park softball placed second in the 6AAAA tournament and fell one game short of advancing to the MSHSL State Tournament. 

The Orioles had a great season and were led by a strong senior class.

Senior outfielder Eva Taybior was named to the StarTribune All Minnesota team and to the Softball Coaches Association’s All State team.

St Louis Park Strength and Conditioning has been named an NHSSCA Program of Excellence for 2026-2029. We are extremely proud to receive this award and it is a testament to our athletic department’s commitment to providing high level, accessible strength and conditioning to all our athletes.

The National High School Strength Coaches Association is dedicated to recognizing High School Strength & Conditioning programs that exemplify the highest levels of professionalism through its Program of Excellence. This initiative is considered the “Gold Standard” in high school strength and conditioning assessments, utilizing a comprehensive rubric, requiring certification from school administrators, and incorporating a video submission component. We are extremely proud to receive this award and it is a testament to our athletic department’s commitment to providing high level, accessible strength and conditioning to all our athletes.

Boys' Track & Field

Boys' Track & Field is celebrating three individuals and one relay competing at the AAA MSHSL Championships this year, to be held on June 10th-12th at St. Michael-Albertville High School:

-Cordell Birden in the 100m, ran a state-qualifying time of 11.06 and placed 2nd to advance.

-Paxon Myers in the 800m, ran a state-qualifying time of 1:55.30 to advance (3rd place).

-Ace Thomas in the Long Jump, placed 2nd to advance (jump of 20'11.5").

-The 4x400m relay team consisting of Shep Cox, Cordell Birden, Everett Arnold, and Paxon Myers, ran a state-qualifying 3:21.08 and placed 2nd to advance.

Girls Golf

The SLP Girls Golf team played sections at The Meadows at Mystic. Kayleigh Bishop (11), Emma Burgart (8) and Veronica Jones (11) advanced to day 2. The team just missed advancing to day 2 by 3 shots. Kayleigh Bishop shot an 84/76, tied for 4th overall and has advanced to the State Tournament for the 2nd year in a row. The State tournament will be held at Bunker Hills on Tuesday and Wednesday, June 10th and 11th.

Boys Golf

The golf team brought their team to Sections at The Meadows at Mystic Lake. Seniors Landon Miller, Micah Schoenberger and Luke Thompson were playing in their last high school golf tournament together.  Preston Miller, Zach Stillman and Danny Weingart rounded out the team of 6.   On Day 1, four individuals qualified to play the next day. Landon, Preston, Zach and Danny all were coming back for a chance to go low and make state.  It would take 2 low scores to get a chance at playing at the State Tournament.

Qualifying for state golf in Minnesota is fiercely competitive.  After Day 2, St. Louis Park had 1 golfer qualify for state in Landon Miller.

Tryouts in March drew an impressive turnout of 70 athletes, reflecting the growing interest and enthusiasm for the sport in our community. From this talented group, we proudly formed two Junior Varsity teams and a Varsity squad.

Our JV teams showed incredible heart and steady improvement throughout the season, picking up several well-earned victories and laying a strong foundation for the future of the program.

The Varsity team made history in its inaugural season, finishing undefeated in conference play and earning the title of Conference Champions. Their momentum continued into the postseason, where they battled their way to the District Championship Game, ultimately finishing as District Runners-Up in a hard-fought final.

In addition to team success, we’re proud to highlight several individual achievements. Five players earned All-Conference awards, with three others receiving Honorable Mentions. Special recognition goes to Anna Williams, named All-Conference Offensive Player of the Year, and Amelia Beach, who was honored as the All-Conference Flag Player of the Year (MVP).

We’re proud of everything our athletes have accomplished and are excited to continue building on this strong foundation in seasons to come. The future is bright for Girls Flag Football!

Let’s beautify the Door 15 entrance

(aka, athletic entrance) for our students and visitors –June 12 @ 6 PM at the High School

We’re inviting parents, guardians, neighbors, and friends of St. Louis Park High School to come together for a hands-on volunteer event to help beautify the area around Door 15.

What We’ll Be Doing:

• Planting fresh shrubs around the entrance
• Clearing dead grass and weeds from the nearby rock bed
• Picking up litter along Dakota Avenue and the southern parking lot by Door 15

When: Thursday, June 12 at 6:00 PM

Time Commitment: 15 min- 2 hours

Where: Meet at Door 15, St. Louis Park High School

Please bring gloves, a shovel, or garbage picker and any tools you think might help. We’ll provide garbage bags and plenty of community spirit!

Your time and effort will make a visible difference — and we can’t do it without you. Let’s enjoy some time outdoors and work together to make our school shine!

June 9 District Staff Celebration Volunteer Opportunities

The district is planning an all staff celebration for the end of the school year. There are a few opportunities to bring the entire staff community together, and they want to start a new tradition of starting and closing the year in celebration. To make this happen, we need your help!

SUMMER SEWING PROJECT?

Looking for a summer sewing project? Our Physical Education Department is looking for a parent that sews who can repair our polyester parachutes that are used for DAPE classes (developmental & adaptive physical education). You’d have the summer months to make repairs. Contact lucke.jennifer@slpschools.org to learn more.

PEAC Roles for the 2025-2026 School Year 

Our scope and reach is growing and we could use some additional volunteers. Join us to help support our high school community by sharing your time in one of these roles, including:

• Fundraising Lead(s) - Help promote the annual fall fundraiser by refreshing last year’s correspondence, confirming timelines and thanking donors. Estimated time commitment is 2 hours per month in September, October and November.
• Technology Lead - Provide support to PEAC team to ensure technology can be best used to communicate with parents/guardians and support the work of PEAC. Estimated time commitment is as needed.
• Weekly Newsletter Article Coordinator - Draft weekly newsletter article highlighting PEACinitiatives, which is included in the 6425 weekly newsletter. Estimated time commitment is 30 minutes per week.
• Coffee with the Principal Coordinator - Help secure dates and confirm the agenda for 3 Coffees with the Principal; pick up coffee and attend each meeting. Estimated time commitment is 2 hours per meeting.
• Co-Chair Elect - Work with co-chairs to learn roles and responsibilities of the PEAC Co-Chair position. Estimated time commitment is 1 hour per month.
