CAREER PATHWAYS MEETING
ALL ARE INVITED to attend the Career Pathways meeting on Friday, February 9 from 7:30 - 9:00 a.m. at the High School.
What is Career Pathways?
We work with St. Louis Park Schools staff, community members and the Career and College Readiness Center to help support and ensure meaningful and relevant pathways for all students as they develop through their high school career and prepare for life beyond SLPHS.
Current Pathways:
If you have expertise in any of these pathways or the following areas, please consider attending to check us out!
- Expertise in Electric Relay Control, Pneumatics, AD/DC Electrical; help Engineering staff lead Mark Miller develop 8 week curriculum lessons for level 3 Engineering
- Communications Lead
- Fundraising / Grant writing
We hold 3 full group meetings annually. Remaining meetings for the 23/34 school year are Feb 9 and Apr 26. Each of the 4 pathways (above) can also meet at additional times to build action plans.
Some successful collaborations we've helped build and lead:
1) Certified Nursing Assistant program
2) Career Fairs (careers, summer employment, etc)
3) Various field trips and site visits for students
4) Networking events
And much more!
Come check us out! It's a great way to get involved, network and help every student find success beyond their time at Park. Questions: Contact Kara Mueller at mueller.kara@slpschools.org or Julie Yakes (612-210-5196) or Dan Albright (952-836-7962)
