On February 10th, St. Louis Park High School proudly celebrated National African American Parent Involvement Day (NAAPID) by welcoming parents, students, and community members into our new community space, the Link. The event featured inspiring speeches from students and community leaders, reinforcing the value of collaboration between families and schools in fostering student success. Parents explored the new community space, designed as a hub for engagement and support, while strengthening the home-school partnership. HOLOCAUST SURVIVOR ASSEMBLY AT SLPHS | |

Wednesday, SLPHS students came together to hear the powerful story of Manny Gabler, a Holocaust survivor, during a special assembly in Park Connections Advisory. We are especially proud of student organizer Micah Schoenberger, whose dedication made this meaningful event possible.
This assembly was held in honor of International Holocaust Remembrance Day (January 27, 2025), a time to reflect, remember and ensure that history is never forgotten.

The STORiole (retail and food) and the Spirit Box were each awarded Gold in their School-Based Enterprise submission for the 24-25 school year and will be recognized during DECA’s International Career Development Conference this April 26-29 in Orlando, FL.
A school-based enterprise (SBE) is an entrepreneurial operation in a school setting that provides goods and services to meet the needs of the market.
SBEs are managed and operated by students as hands-on learning laboratories that integrate National Curriculum Standards in marketing, finance, hospitality and management.
Congratulations and good luck to the teams that will be traveling to represent our SBEs!

St. Louis Park High School Student Joins Rep. Ilhan Omar’s Youth Advisory Council
Otoha Masaki, a junior at St. Louis Park High School, recently joined U.S. Rep. Ilhan Omar’s Youth Advisory Council. Through this experience, she will engage in civic action, develop leadership skills and gain understanding of the legislative process – all while shaping policies that affect young people across Minnesota.

The EMPOWER (Encourage Minority Participation in Occupations with Emphasis on Rehabilitation) Scholarship, administered by the Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute encourages and supports ethnically diverse students who are pursuing a career in a medical or rehabilitation
field.
