CONGRATULATIONS WALLIN SCHOLARS

We are proud to announce that Ashaar Ali, Nevaeh Dobyne, Maimun Hussein, Bryce Martin, Kevin Martinez Herrera, & Salah Mohamoud were officially named Wallin Scholars!

This year several students were surprised with their scholarships. Each scholar will receive up to $16,000 over four years, advising, and access to support.

We celebrate your effort, engagement, and excellence as a student and now as a scholar. Congratulations!

DOG THERAPY EVENT

SLP Natural Helpers is hosting a Therapy Dog Event with Northstar Therapy Dogs on May 22nd from 9:30 am to 11:30 am. If you are interested in participating, please sign up for a 15 minute slot using the link below.

SLPHS BASEBALL TEAM SENIOR NIGHT

The St. Louis Park High School Baseball Team will be celebrating their senior baseball players tomorrow, Tuesday, May 16. Seniors and their families will be announced on the field following the 6:00 PM game at Derrick Keller Field at Dakota Park. A special thanks to Chic-fil-A (Knollwood) for donating sandwiches for the event. Congratulations to the Seniors: Axel Abrahamson, Andruw Vela-Bravo, Zach Helfmann, Eli Puchner, Stefano Giovannelli, Jason Jensen, Rocco Serrano, Owen Winecoff, and Andrew Yakes.

CLASS OF 2023 IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Class of 2023 and Families,

As we approach the middle of May, graduation is approaching fast and planning for graduation has been underway all year. Now is the time to get the last minute things complete and make sure we get you all the information you need.

Date and Time:

SLP Graduation - June 6th - 7:00 PM at the High School Stadium (Rain date is June 7th)

Graduating Seniors arrive for graduation line-up at 6:00 PM

Gates will open at 6:30 PM and no tickets are required.

Accessible seating consideration is available by filling out the following form: Accessible Seating Form or calling Abby Schrader 952-928-6106. One guest per person requiring accessible seating and an accessible seating gate will open up from 6:00-6:30 PM at the 35th and Dakota gate.

Senior Walk:

Reminder Senior Walk to our elementary school will be on Wednesday, May 31st. All seniors wishing to participate must have signed up for the school they wish to go to and the parent permission form must be out by May 29th.

2023 Summer Credit Recovery - Registration

2023 Summer Credit Recovery -

Registration opens Monday, May 8th!

Credit Recovery provides an opportunity to make up missed high school credits in a fun, flexible and alternative way. This year, we will be located in the middle school, offering students 2 options: one is a traditional teacher-led instruction and the other is through Edmentum (online) learning with teacher support. Both must be in-person. Students will participate for 3 weeks, with an optional 4th week in Edmentum (online). Attendance is critical for earning credits; up to 2 credits may be earned depending on choices selected. If there are any concerns or barriers to your participation, please reach out to Carole Charlson, Credit Recovery Coordinator, at charlson.carole@slpschools.org, and we will try to work around any difficulties.

Classes will be held Monday through Friday:

● June 12 - June 30, 2023

● July 10 - July 14th is an optional 4th week - Edmentum (online) only

Times:

● 8::15 am - 11:15 pm and 12:00 - 3:00 pm (lunch provided)
