PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE

Greetings!

It’s a great time to be an Oriole.  Last week was filled with community celebration.  On Monday, February 12 we welcomed families to attend National African American Parent Involvement Day (NAAPID).  It was a pleasure sharing space with those that attended.

Tuesday the 13th, middle school and high school orchestra students put on a brilliant performance that included the harmonious and upbeat tunes from The Greatest Showman.  Bravo to orchestra conductor, Mr. Kou Lee, and the SLP orchestra students!   Girls’ nordic skiing wrapped up the week as they competed at the state meet, finishing 5th as a team. A shout-out to our winter athletes as they finish the season!

With a new week comes new celebrations.  Tomorrow kicks off SnoDaze.  SLPHS Student Council has prepared a variety of activities to include spirit week dress-up days, the winter pepfest, and the carnival-themed SnoDaze dance.  We are excited to continue to honor and celebrate our brilliant community of learners.

Take care, be well, and GO PARK!

LaNisha Paddock

Principal
