Greetings from SLPHS!
Thank you to all who attended last week’s Family Engagement Night! It was a huge success, with wonderful conversations and meaningful connections made between families and staff. We are excited to continue this momentum as we plan for the next Family Engagement Night, which will be held on November 21st. This event will feature new activities and opportunities to engage with our school community. More details to come soon, so mark your calendars!
As a reminder, conferences are next week, and we are looking forward to discussing your student's progress. These meetings are an important opportunity for us to connect, share insights, and work together to support your child’s academic growth. We hope to see you there as we continue to build strong partnerships with our families.
Take care, be well, and GO PARK!

Conferences Next Week!
Fall Conferences will take place next week (October 7th-October 11th). Families have two options to connect with teachers:
-
Virtual by Appointment: Each teacher will have availability for virtual conferences across the evenings of Monday, October 7th to Thursday, October 10th. You should have received an email today from Student Support Time with the subject “SLPHS Conference Sign-Up.” You can sign up for a 10 minute virtual conference with any number of your child’s teachers.
-
In Person Drop-Ins: On Friday, October 11th, there will be no school for students, and teachers will have drop-in availability in person from 8am-3pm, with lunch from 12:30-1pm. To make things more convenient for families, all teachers will be set up at tables in the field house. This will avoid the need to navigate the entire building to connect with multiple teachers. Since families may be waiting in line to connect with the same teacher, conferences will be 5 minutes each. Spanish and Somali interpreters will be available.
Please select the option that works best for your family. If you need to connect with a specific teacher for a longer time, please reach out to them directly through email.

Celebrating National Principals Month!
As we recognize National Principal Month, we want to extend our gratitude to the incredible leaders who guide our schools each day. Our principals are the heart of our school community, nurturing a space where staff, students, and families feel supported, safe, and inspired. They are not just administrators; they are advocates for every student's success, champions of equitable practices, and role models for lifelong learning.
