SPRING BREAK:
NO 6425 APRIL 1ST, RESUMES APRIL 8TH
| |
As we start the 2nd half of the school year we would like to remind students and parents about student pick-up locations and overall safety reminders.
- At no time should students be walking between buses.
- No parent pick-up on 33rd street while buses are present.
- Parent pick-up is located in parking lot by door #1
- There is no parent pick-up at the door #15 athletic area. This allows SLP athletic buses to enter and exit safely.
- Students should not be crossing the street (33rd Street or Dakota Ave) except at designated crosswalks.
- Crosswalks locations:
- Florida Ave & 33rd St.
- Edgewood Ave & 33rd St.
- Dakota Ave. & 33rd St.
- Dakota Ave. & W Lake St.
- There is no designated crosswalk at Dakota Ave. by the train tracks and it is a dangerous area to cross. Please remind students not to cross the street at this spot.

NEWSIES RESCHEDULED FOR MARCH 26TH AT 7PM: FINAL PERFORMANCE | |
WHY SHOULD STUDENTS TAKE THE MCA?
- Colleges & Universities can use MCA scores to place students into appropriate level classes. This can help students avoid needing to enroll in and pay for remedial/noncredit courses in college.
- Park Pride. Low MCA participation & scores impact our community. Prospective residents and business owners view published high school rankings which may include MCA data. We are better than the current data indicates. Let’s Prove It!
| |
-
For the love of food! When you complete the MCA you’ll be entered into a raffle to win a $25 Gift Card from your favorite restaurant (yes, you choose your favorite).
| -
Park Connections Pride party. The park connections class with highest participation will earn a celebration with treats.
