MCA TESTING

Reading, Science

March 26 & 27 -

Tuesday & Wednesday

Block Schedule

  • Reading -Grade 10
  • Science -Biology students

Testing Rooms:

All 10th graders will complete the reading MCA in their ELA class and all Biology students (typically 11th graders) will complete the science MCA in their Biology class.

Testing Time:

Students will have a 90 minute block to complete the test on either Tuesday, March 26th or Wednesday, March 27th.

Did not complete MCA test?

Any student who does not complete their MCA test on the initial test date will be included in the make-up testing space on Thursday, March 28th.

MCA TESTING

Math

April 16 & 18 -

Tuesday and Thursday

Make-up:

Monday, April 22

Standard Schedule-

7 period day

  • Math - Grade11

WHY SHOULD STUDENTS TAKE THE MCA?

  • Colleges & Universities can use MCA scores to place students into appropriate level classes. This can help students avoid needing to enroll in and pay for remedial/noncredit courses in college.

  • Park Pride. Low MCA participation & scores impact our community. Prospective residents and business owners view published high school rankings which may include MCA data. We are better than the current data indicates. Let’s Prove It!
  • For the love of food! When you complete the MCA you’ll be entered into a raffle to win a $25 Gift Card from your favorite restaurant (yes, you choose your favorite).
  • Park Connections Pride party. The park connections class with highest participation will earn a celebration with treats.
