To the incredible Class of 2025,

It is with deep pride and heartfelt emotion that I say farewell to a class that holds a truly special place in my heart. You were the first class I had the honor of following from 9th through 12th grade, and what a journey it has been. I’ve witnessed your growth, your resilience, your courage, and I’ve been inspired every step of the way.

You challenged me to be a better leader, and I thank you for allowing me to learn and grow alongside you. As you step into the next chapter of your lives, know that you carry with you the strength, spirit, and determination that define what it means to be a Park student.

I wish you all the best in your future endeavors. Never forget where you came from, and always remember, you'll forever be part of the Park family.

Student Organized Anti Racism (SOAR) at SLPHS held a powerful and reflective George Floyd Memorial event, honoring his life and the ongoing fight for racial justice. Students led a thoughtful presentation that invited our school community to remember, reflect, and recommit to equity and anti-racism. Through journaling activities and shared dialogue, SOAR created space for healing and awareness. Their leadership and courage continue to inspire critical conversations and actions that move us toward a more just and inclusive school community.

We are proud to celebrate the remarkable achievements of our multilingual students at the SLPHS Bilingual and Global Biliteracy Seals Ceremony! This special event recognized students who have demonstrated high levels of proficiency in multiple languages, earning the Minnesota Bilingual Seals and Global Biliteracy Seals. These honors reflect our students’ dedication, cultural awareness, and global competence, skills that will serve them well in college, careers, and beyond. Congratulations to all our Seal recipients for their hard work and commitment to linguistic excellence!

As we pass the middle of May, graduation is approaching fast and planning for graduation has been underway all year. Now is the time to get the last minute things completed and make sure we get you all the information you need!

GRADUATION EXPECTATIONS FOR A RESPECTFUL & JOYFUL CEREMONY

Dear St. Louis Park High School Class of 2025 and Families,

As we approach the much-anticipated graduation day, we wish to ensure that the ceremony is a celebratory and memorable event for everyone involved. With graduation set for June 4, it is crucial that we come together to honor the achievements of our graduates in a respectful and joyous manner.

Seniors' Final Week

Seniors, we would like to acknowledge the last few days of your 2025 graduating year is coming to a close. This week should be one of reflection, celebration, and Park PRIDE. We understand that seniors partake in many traditions throughout the school year as a right of passage to adulthood. As we head into our finals day at Park, we would like to remind seniors that fun also comes with the responsibility to engage in traditions safely and respectfully.  

As a reminder, the following ensure that our SLPHS community remains a safe respectful space:

• Be respectful of your peers, school property, & grounds to include the neighboring community.
• Safe and attentive driving in the parking lots and school grounds is expected.
• Replica guns to include toy/water guns are strictly prohibited on campus. Not adhering to this policy would result in students being removed from our commencement ceremony.
• Safe and responsible behavior during dismissal time (ie walking and staying clear of bus & vehicles leaving for parent/student pick-up).
• This is a friendly reminder that the senior tradition of water balloons is no longer permitted.

We are committed to making graduation a positive, inclusive, and safe event for all our students and their families. Our goal is to celebrate the incredible journey and accomplishments of each graduate without distractions or disruptions.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding. Let’s make this a wonderful day to remember for every family and graduate. We are incredibly proud of the Class of 2025 and eagerly await the opportunity to celebrate together.

DECA students at Peter Hobart School took the lead in educating first graders using Junior Achievement's JA in a Day curriculum, covering basics of financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and community roles. This hands-on experience not only enriched the younger students' learning but also provided DECA high schoolers with invaluable leadership and teaching skills.

ALL-STATE CHOIR

2 SLPHS students recently auditioned & were accepted into the Minnesota Music Educators Association All-State Choir for 2025. Students selected are juniors Elliott Netoff, selected as a Tenor 1 in the SATB Choir; and junior Bailey Schneeberg, selected as an Alto 2 in the SSAA Choir. Congratulations Elliott & Bailey!

Students in the Personal Finance College class recently wrapped up their participation in BestPrep’s eMentor program, partnering with professionals from Wealth Enhancement Group for weekly email exchanges focused on future planning, career exploration, and personal finance. The experience strengthened students’ communication, critical thinking, and financial literacy skills—capped off with a memorable in-person meet and greet captured in the photo below.

Thanks to all the students that visited the 8th Grade Advisory Classes at the MS to help get students prepared for the transition to high school.  Also - big thanks to the HS PEAC group that funded our bus transportation.

The 2025 High School Summer Credit Recovery Program offers students an in-person opportunity to make up missed credits in a condensed, flexible learning environment. Two instructional options are available: traditional teacher-led classes or supported online learning through Edmentum. The program runs from June 16 to July 3, Monday through Friday, with no school on June 19 in observance of Juneteenth. Students can earn up to 2 credits over the 3-week session.

Registration opens Monday, April 14 and closes May 30 (or earlier if classes fill). Attendance is mandatory, lunch is provided, and transportation is not available. Classes will be held at St. Louis Park Middle School.

We’re inviting parents, guardians, neighbors, and friends of St. Louis Park High School to come together for a hands-on volunteer event to help beautify the area around Door 15.

What We’ll Be Doing:

• Planting fresh shrubs around the entrance
• Clearing dead grass and weeds from the nearby rock bed
• Picking up litter along Dakota Avenue and the southern parking lot by Door 15

When: Thursday, June 12 at 6:00 PM

Time Commitment: 15 min- 2 hours

Where: Meet at Door 15, St. Louis Park High School

Please bring gloves, a shovel, or garbage picker and any tools you think might help. We’ll provide garbage bags and plenty of community spirit!

Your time and effort will make a visible difference — and we can’t do it without you. Let’s enjoy some time outdoors and work together to make our school shine!

PEAC Roles for the 2025-2026 School Year 

Our scope and reach is growing and we could use some additional volunteers. Join us to help support our high school community by sharing your time in one of these roles, including:

• Fundraising Lead(s) - Help promote the annual fall fundraiser by refreshing last year’s correspondence, confirming timelines and thanking donors. Estimated time commitment is 2 hours per month in September, October and November.
• Technology Lead - Provide support to PEAC team to ensure technology can be best used to communicate with parents/guardians and support the work of PEAC. Estimated time commitment is as needed.
• Weekly Newsletter Article Coordinator - Draft weekly newsletter article highlighting PEACinitiatives, which is included in the 6425 weekly newsletter. Estimated time commitment is 30 minutes per week.
• Coffee with the Principal Coordinator - Help secure dates and confirm the agenda for 3 Coffees with the Principal; pick up coffee and attend each meeting. Estimated time commitment is 2 hours per meeting.
• Co-Chair Elect - Work with co-chairs to learn roles and responsibilities of the PEAC Co-Chair position. Estimated time commitment is 1 hour per month.
