Support the amazing SLPHS Staff! Sign up to bring Teacher Treats to school!

Every 2-3 weeks, let's show our support. From teachers to cooks to custodians to the front office, our SLPHS staff is working hard to give our kids the best education possible! Let's show them we care! Thanks for signing up if you can!



Looking for ways to engage and support our staff? Here are a few of the biggest needs:

  • The Orioles' Nest, an after school academic support program, is looking for nutritious snacks. If you'd like to contribute, please drop off store bought individually wrapped items like granola bars, crackers, fruit snacks and more. Please note they cannot accept any refrigerated items.
  • Mask donations, Kleenex and K-Cups (for staff breakroom) are always appreciated. Drop off in the front office or send with your student.
  • Restaurant gift certificates are used for periodic staff raffles. Staff can share a great teaching idea or way they made the school better/impacted a student to be entered into the raffles. Gift cards in any amount are appreciated. The prize is typically $50 gift cards or combinations that get to about that amount.
  • Have a little time and want to earn a little cash? Sign up to become a substitute teacher with Teachers on Call. You can fill out an application at teachersoncall.com.
  • Send a thank you note to a teacher or other staff member. Some days it's a thankless job. Click on https://hs.slpschools.org/about/staff-directory for email addresses for all staff members (from cooks to teachers to the front office). They'd love to hear from you!

Park Pride in Action
This week in Park Connections students focused on #ParkPride and different ways to show it. They did shout outs to staff and students, picked up garbage, decorated doors, made hallway posters and lots of other activities. Enjoy some pictures from the week!
Picture Retake Day
Lifetouch will be here on Monday, November 8 for picture retake day. If you would like to have your child’s picture retaken simply return your original Lifetouch photo package on picture retake day. You can still order pictures at mylifetouch.com insert the picture ID code in your students’ Lifetouch photo package.

All students can meet by the C doors at the High School if they need a ride. Anyone who is interested in joining High School Gymnastics this year is welcome to come! Please contact Sophia Earle (earle_sophia@apps.slpschools.org) with any questions.
