Weekend Closures of 135th Street and U.S. 69 ramps

All lanes of 135th Street under U.S. 69 will be closed to traffic from Friday, October 25 at 7 p.m. through Monday, October 27 at 6 a.m. The closure will allow for asphalt work along 135th Street. • Traveling westbound on 135th Street: Turn south onto Metcalf Avenue.
  • Travel southbound on Metcalf, turn west onto 143rd Street. Travel westbound on 143rd Street, turn north on Antioch Road, then use Antioch to continue northbound to 135th Street.
  • Traveling eastbound on 135th Street: Turn south onto Antioch Road. Travel southbound on Antioch, turn east on 143rd Street. Travel eastbound on 143rd Street, turn north on Metcalf Avenue, then use Metcalf to continue northbound to 135th Street.

Construction Updates

Construction work at U.S. 69 and 167th Street hit a milestone of completing the last deck pour. North-facing and south-facing ramps from 167th Street to U.S. 69 are scheduled to open by November. Additionally, pavement work on the I-435 and U.S. 69 bridge is complete and will progress to striping and the ultimate configuration in the coming weeks.

The project team appreciates your patience during this construction period and asks that drivers remain aware of construction crews as bridge, ramp and grading work continues in the area.
