Join us for the 6th Annual New Jersey Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities (NJLEND) Maternal & Child Health Leadership Symposium, a program of The Boggs Center on Developmental Disabilities. 

This online symposium will feature a keynote conversation with Susan Stillman, EdD & Lynna Tamor, PhD on Empathy and Emotional Intelligence: Tools for Leadership, Providing Support, and Relationships and will recognize the accomplishments of the 2021-2022 class of NJLEND Fellows and Boggs Center Interdisciplinary Trainees.
Keynote Speakers
Empathy and Emotional Intelligence: Tools for Leadership, Providing Support, and Relationships
Susan Stillman, EdD & Lynna Tamor, PhD
Susan Stillman, EdD is Emerita Director of Education for Six Seconds, Emotional Intelligence Network, a global not-for-profit focused on EQ research, assessments, and practice. A faculty member at Antioch University, she collaborated in the formation of a new specialization in social-emotional learning (SEL) within the EdD in Educational and Professional Practice.
Lynne Tamor holds a PhD from UC Berkeley in Language and Reading Development and taught at SUNY-Albany and Wayne State University. She is the parent of an adult son who has multiple severe disabilities. She is a founding member of the Whole Schooling Consortium, an experienced family advocate, and an advocate for accessible information for both people with disabilities and their families.

NJLEND
NJLEND is New Jersey's Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities program and is a component of The Boggs Center on Developmental Disabilities, a division of the Department of Pediatrics, Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. NJLEND provides graduate-level interdisciplinary, leadership training to prepare the next generation of health and allied health leaders to address the needs of children and young adults with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and related developmental disabilities, health disparities, cultural competence, related developmental disabilities, and other maternal and child health populations. NJLEND Fellows and faculty represent disciplines across Rutgers and Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences. NJLEND also provides technical assistance and continuing education to families and Maternal and Child Health professionals, including this Symposium.
