Preparation continues for our eventual return to services at CBS.

What we’re doing
This week the CBS staff returned to the office full-time. It was an opportunity for us to test some of the procedures that will be in place as we expand our reopening, and I’m happy to report that things went smoothly. We ask that you continue to follow these procedures for the foreseeable future.

The Re-Entry Task Force has not decided on when we will reopen for Shabbat services, but we are identifying the necessary steps. We hope to have more news for you on Shabbat services soon.

We need your help
We can’t tell you what our High Holy Day services will look like, but they will definitely be different from what you are used to. Next week, we will be sending you a survey, soliciting your input on some of the issues related to the High Holy Days. We know that some of you are eager to return to our shul, while others would prefer to stay away until they are more comfortable, given their personal situations and their own feelings about the current status of the pandemic. We are working to find ways to honor everyone's personal choices and to serve all of our members at this important time of year.

Keeping you informed
You can watch a video on Sunday featuring Rabbi David discussing the Task Force’s approach as we continue our work.

And next week, we will begin posting “The Road to Re-Opening,” a multi-part guide to our reopening protocols.

Both Rabbi David’s video and the Road to Re-Opening guide will be available on our Re-Entry Task Force page on the CBS website. You can go there directly by pressing here.

We will update you further next week. Please don’t hesitate to contact us at
[email protected] if you have any questions or concerns.

Thank you for your continued patience and understanding.
