Good Day! Recently, I put myself on the line and took a lot of shots through social media. The picture is not good. Christianity is in deep trouble. The "tickling ears preachers' have left their mark. Here is what I found for innocently trying to help people understand they should wear their COVID-19 masks.
While I know that most of you receiving this by email are more mature Christians, this is not so for all Christians. I want you to know what you are in for by some claiming to be among us, in standing for truth.
My message was that you should wear a mask to protect others. I quoted, from Scripture, how we are to "love each other", 'honor the government because God put them there", "be humble", "be servants", "bring life' not "kill, steal and destroy", "The Good Samaritan". Some would not have it. Some had never heard that the mask was to protect others. (A lack of current events there).
Here is what I found. Some listen only to pastors who seem to abuse God's Word to what their people want to hear. I guess to protect their paycheck. I was accused of "being a liberal", "a weak Christian", "I will pray for you", "That's your opinion", "I'm a CNA and you are wrong", and clever ones, "I respectfully disagree". At least there were two that in deed were 'respectful' but wrong. Now I know why I took these shots for you. To bring you this message.
The most abuse seem to come from Charismatic types who would practice "name it and claim it" before the Word of God and were only concerned about the governments imposition on them, or the affect of the mask on themselves. If the government was your main concern, the government has become your God because you put it before Him and His Word.
"My God will protect me from the virus" with no regard for others or the Word of God. Christian basics (love as the foundation) were no where to be had from them. One person said "show me where selfishness is the opposite of love". Did their pastors not teach them fundamentals? Or were they sleeping in church?
Some even had web pages declaring what great Christians they were. Bold, but not humble. Arrogant and not gracious. YET, others came to my rescue. I don't want you to think all is bad. Christian RN's, Doctors, and my dear Christian sister in law who has a compromised immune system because of her battles with cancer all came to my rescue explaining the truth.
So why today's message to you? Friends this is what we are in for. The wolves are among the sheep as well as the false prophets that Jesus warns us about in the end times. The spirit of the antichrist is alive, well and growing. The signs are all around us, we need to stand firm, and be fully armored.
I pray that you take this seriously. If people leave the Word of God, which is Christ Himself (Jn.1:10) over a little inconvenience like wearing a mask that you wear for a few minutes in a store, costing less than $3.99. WE ARE IN BIG TROUBLE. There is fundamental problems with what most Christians know or were taught. Yes, we have power, it is quiet power from God, under the control of good character.
Let us pray:
Dear Father God,
Help each of us to always search and respect your Word and those who deliver your Word. May we do this first, last and always. Otherwise you have wasted all that time and effort to put the Bible so widely distributed at our hands.
