For you, my brothers, were called to freedom; only do not let your freedom become an opportunity for the sinful nature (worldliness, selfishness), but through love serve and seek the best for one another.
For I do not understand my own actions [I am baffled and bewildered by them]. I do not practice what I want to do, but I am doing the very thing I hate [and yielding to my human nature, my worldliness-my sinful capacity].

Good day in the Lord! Throughout Romans 7, Paul goes back and forth on his temptations in the world. Why would God allow this? Shouldn't we be holy?
God also says "All have sinned". "All includes a lot of people, yes even the saved, even the pastor and even the hierarchy. God even said that even David, " was a man of God's own heart". Yes, in spite of the sins that we know about. So how does this all shake out?
God knows we will all mess up. He tells us that only Christ was perfect. He wants our hearts to be aiming for perfection even though our humaness may
interfere at times. One thing for sure, is that our mistakes should get less and less as we grow in Him.
Let us pray for that now:
Dear Father God,
May we aim for perfection, yet knowing that we are built imperfect. May we recognize and stay away from worldly ways and may we easily repent when we get trapped in the world.
I
n Jesus Holy Name, we pray!
