The Misquoted Bible Class Series
Have you ever wondered if that parable or quote is actually in the Bible? If it is, do we even use it correctly? If it's not, why do people think it is? In this series we will explore quotes and witticisms often attributed to the Bible and find out if they really mean what we think they do. Tuesdays thru July 28 from 2-3:30pm, join Pastor Christine for this 6-week class on Tuesdays in room 200.

Hallway Art: "Members in Focus"
Help us celebrate the people who make up our church family! We are creating a new hallway photo exhibit, “Members in Focus,” featuring the people who make WBLUMC such a welcoming and vibrant community. Send us a favorite photo of yourself, your family, or a moment that reflects who you are. Together, we'll create a gallery that celebrates the heart of our church: its people. Email photos to Mary Ellen Calderwood at medecalderwood@aol.com.

Solar Garden Update
The church’s most recent Xcel electricity bill for the period May 15 - June 15 was a credit of $292 compared to a cost of $455 a year ago before the solar garden. Natural gas costs for the same period was $100. Our solar garden production for May was over nine megawatts of electricity. Our solar panels generated enough energy to erase our entire Xcel bill with $192 credit left over.

Thank You
A special THANK YOU goes to Adam Lindner for his assistance in preparing the education wing for the new carpet. He packed up the nursery, the upper floor Sunday School rooms, and helped disassemble the large cabinets in the lower-level hallway. Once the carpet was complete, he then helped return everything on both levels to their proper places including reinstalling those large cabinets. Thank you Adam!

Do What You Can: Wisdom shared by the United Methodist Creation Justice Movement:
Imperfect action is
better than
perfect inaction.
Remember that when you feel overwhelmed or down
because of the enormity of our climate crises.
Do what you can,
wherever you can,
whenever you can.
That’s very Wesleyan.
Learn more about the Green Team by attending a meeting! Join us on the first
Monday of each month at 7pm in room 200. See the church calendar for updates.
