LOCAL DEVELOPMENT - Pioneer Bank, Amazon & The Terminal
PIONEER BANK BUILDING...
An iconic stalwart at the North-Pulaski intersection since opening its doors in 1925, Pioneer was one of the few banks to survive the Great Depression of 1929. Vacant since 2009, it will be returned to community use thanks to $54M in funding from the INVEST South/West Initiative and a coalition comprised of Team Pioneros, JGMA, Park Row Development, and All Construction Group.

AMAZON WAREHOUSE...In July 2021, construction of a 140,000-square-foot Amazon warehouse at Kostner Avenue and Division Street. Amazon purchased the 26 acre site from Allied Metal for $30M, over time the project is expected to create up to 500 jobs, according to Alderman Emma Mitts (37th).
THE TERMINAL...A planned creative office project is just north of the Warehouse in the former Pyle National building at 1313 N. Kostner Avenue. IBT Group and Chicago businessman Joe Mansueto broke ground in late 2020 and are now leasing space in the 250,000 square feet complex of innovative high-ceilinged workspaces with expansive windows and integrated outdoor areas.
Sportsbook Betting Comes to Wrigley Field
The three-story 22,000-square foot addition connected to Wrigley Field will add a Draftkings sportsbook betting venue and multiple dining options to the stadium block at
1012 W. Addison Street. The project, co-planned by the Chicago Cubs and Marquee Development, comes on the heels of the Chicago City Council’s reversal of its ban
on sports betting and opens the door for Chicago’s five other professional stadiums.
