The Misquoted Bible Class Series - Last Class Tuesday

In this series we've explored quotes and witticisms often attributed to the Bible to find out if they really mean what we think they do. Join Pastor Christine for the final class on Tues., July 28 from 2-3:30pm in room 200. Thank you to all who participated!

Rainbow Families

Are you the parent or grandparent of a member of the LGBTQ community? Join us for conversation and fellowship on Thurs., Aug. 6 at 6 pm in the church library. Questions? Email LuAnn Roberts or call her at (218) 590-6424.

Hallway Art: "Members in Focus"

Help us celebrate the people who make up our church family! We are creating a new hallway photo exhibit, “Members in Focus,” featuring the people who make WBLUMC such a welcoming and vibrant community. Send us a favorite photo of yourself, your family, or a moment that reflects who you are. Together, we'll create a gallery that celebrates the heart of our church: its people. Email photos to Mary Ellen Calderwood at medecalderwood@aol.com

Hearts & Hands

We are a small group for those interested in knitting, crocheting, and other hand crafts. Due to vacation plans, we decided not to meet in July. Join us again on Mon., Aug. 17 at 7pm in the church library.

Beach Concert

Join others in the community at a benefit concert for the White Bear Area Food Shelf, on Sat., Aug. 1 at 6-11pm at White Bear Lake County Park, 5050 Lake Ave, White Bear Lake, MN 55110.

"Heartbeat for Hunger" is free and open to everyone. Instead of purchasing a ticket, guests are encouraged to make a cash donation to support the White Bear Area Food Shelf. Whether it's $10, $50, or more, every dollar helps provide nutritious food and critical support to neighbors facing food insecurity. Last year's Heartbeat for Hunger event raised more than $55,000 for the food shelf!

Gather your friends to enjoy an evening of incredible music and food on the lake! Follow this link for more information and to make a donation.

Green Team Tip of the Month

Do What You Can: Wisdom shared by the United Methodist Creation Justice Movement:

Imperfect action is

better than

perfect inaction.

Remember that when you feel overwhelmed or down

because of the enormity of our climate crises.

Do what you can,

wherever you can,

whenever you can.

That’s very Wesleyan.

Learn more about the Green Team by attending a meeting! Join us on the first

Monday of each month at 7pm in room 200. See the church calendar for updates.
