Message from the Principal
|
|
Dear Parents,
I cannot begin to express how excited I am to be serving as the next Principal at Cardinal Ritter High School. During my time here thus far, I have been blown away by the level of support from parents, teachers, and staff as I transition into this role. I greatly look forward to having the opportunity to partner with each of you in providing a high quality, faith-filled learning environment where all students can prosper.
To provide you with some information about my background in education, I’ve always known that I’ve wanted to serve the youth and community. After high school, I attended Butler University where I studied Biology and Secondary Education. I quickly developed a passion for teaching and enrolled at Marian University to develop my craft and focus on curriculum and instruction. After earning an MA in Teaching from Marian University, I continued to teach while completing my MA in Educational Leadership. I spent the past 3 years serving as the Principal of a High School on the East side of Indianapolis and look forward to bringing my experiences to Cardinal Ritter High School!
With the state’s increased focus on academic rigor and accountability, it’s as important as ever that as a school, we are challenging ourselves and collaborating to provide outstanding learning opportunities for our students each and every day. I look forward to working with all teachers, staff, and families to ensure that Cardinal Ritter High School continues its pursuit of excellence in providing a well-rounded, top notch education to all of its students.
The 2017 – 2018 school year is just around the corner and I wanted to remind all families that 7th, 8th, and 9th grade students will report to school on August 11 and all students will report on August 14. Additionally, 7th grade orientation will be held on August 8 from 6:00pm – 8:00pm and freshman orientation will also be held on August 8 from 8:30am – 2:30pm.
Enjoy the remainder of the summer and may God bless the students, families, faculty, and staff of Cardinal Ritter High School!
Steven Pelych

Closing Prayer
Lord God,
we thank you that you have upheld us and brought us to the Savior. Help us to remember this truth through your Holy Spirit, and constantly remind us while still on earth to live in heaven with all your angels. We are helpless without you. Your Spirit alone can overcome our sinful nature so that we never forget to be in heaven with the Savior now and in eternity. Amen.
