Ribbon Cuttings Welcome New Ownership at The Corner and Kess' Korner

The Mena community recently celebrated two significant events: the ribbon cuttings for The Corner and Kess' Korner, both long-standing local businesses now jointly owned by Anmol Bhaati and Jass Thind. The Corner, located at 1100 U. S. Hwy 71 Suite O, Mena, AR 71953 (phone: 479-394-1120), has been a staple in the area, known for its convenient location and friendly service. Kess' Korner, situated at 1513 Reeves Ave, Mena, AR 71953 (phone: 479-243-4574), is a well-loved gas station and a hot spot for purchasing alcohol in Mena. Under the new ownership, both establishments will continue their tradition of excellent customer service while introducing fresh ideas to enhance the businesses. The Mena/Polk County Chamber of Commerce played a key role in organizing these events, underscoring their commitment to supporting local businesses and fostering a strong economic environment in the area. As The Corner and Kess' Korner embark on this new journey, the community looks forward to seeing these businesses thrive and continue to be integral parts of Mena's landscape.

Hi there, I am Bear! I'm 3 years old, and weigh 58 lbs. I'm a black lab / cattle dog mix. I am good with other dogs, and would be better suited to a home with women, and no kids. I love treats! They motivate me since I'm working on leash training! I might be shy at first but warm up quickly. Come to the shelter to meet me today! We are experiencing some issues with our office phone but you can contact us at (479)469-9402 for any questions.

All animals at HSO are current on their vaccinations and will be spayed/neutered prior to adoption. If not already spayed/neutered, there may be a short delay between when you select this pet and when they are ready to go home.

Breed and age are determined based on observable physical traits. Actual lineage and birth date are rarely known.

Adoption Fees:

-$60 for cats

-$60 for dogs over 6 years

-$80 for dogs over 6 years, under 20 pounds

-$80 for dogs 6 months old to 6 years

-$100 for dogs 6 months old to 6 years, under 20 pounds

-$100 for puppies up to 6 months
