With the final release of this seal season behind us, we thought you would enjoy this "class photo" of all twenty patients that were successfully rehabilitated by the Marine Mammal Stranding Center and returned to the wild this year. Each face represents countless hours of hard work by our dedicated team of Stranding Technicians, Volunteers, Interns, and Support Staff. Our team’s unwavering commitment to the animals never stops. In wildlife rescue and rehabilitation, the days are long and the work is hard, but these are the moments that inspire us and our work. And although it is our hands that do the work, it is YOUR hearts that make our work possible. Because of all of YOU, our amazing supporters, these twenty seals got their second chance to go back home to the Ocean, wild and free.
With the end of seal season comes a very busy few months of projects that can only be accomplished when our hospital is empty. Currently the team is completing renovations and repairs to the ICU and Pool House. Stranding equipment is being inspected and repairs made as needed. All of the trucks are getting much-needed maintenance completed, and we are already busy stocking up on supplies such as food, medicine and cleaning products to prepare for next seal season (the start of which is only a few months away).
Thank you so much for your ongoing support, we could not do it without YOU!

Thank you so much for answering our recent #FiveDollarFriday call for help!
Together you have raised $3,692 to pay the repair bills for our Stranding truck! We will be applying the funds raised above our original goal to complete additional repairs and maintenance on this truck.
Whether you donated $5 or $500, we appreciate every single person that opened their hearts to help our organization. No matter how you chose to give, be it through social media, our website or at an outreach event, we are so grateful for your support!
Because of YOU, the marine mammals and sea turtles of New Jersey can count on this critical piece of rescue equipment to be there for them. Thank you for being a partner in our mission of Rescue, Rehabilitate & Release!

Join MMSC's Educators for a guided beach walk and hands-on activities!
Nature is our classroom as your group learns about the animals and plants that are native to our New Jersey beaches, bays and estuaries.
Your family will meet MMSC's Educators on one of the most beautiful and diverse natural habitats on Brigantine Island.
During this 45-minute interactive program, we will guide you on a short walk along the dunes as you learn about the dune ecosystem and the birds, mammals and plants that call it home.
Once you arrive at our outdoor mobile classroom, you'll get your feet wet as we teach you how to identify local invertebrates, fish, reptiles, and other marine life. You will learn about the biggest threats these creatures face and how YOU can help them.
Our Educators will teach you how to assist stranded Diamondback terrapins and Horseshoe crabs, two abundant local species that frequently need a helping hand.
Finally, learn more about MMSC's mission, and what to do if you spot a stranded marine mammal or sea turtle.
