But Jesus said to him, "No one who puts his hand to the plow and looks back [to the things left behind] is fit for the kingdom of God."

"So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

Sitting down [to teach], He called the twelve [disciples] and said to them, "If anyone wants to be first, he must be last of all [in importance] and a servant of all."

John 8:36

So if the Son makes you free, then you are unquestionably free.

Good day in the Lord! Today America celebrates the anniversary of it's freedom. It was based on Christian principles, no matter what edited history may say. But the greater freedom is that in the Lord. To maintain that freedom God gave us some guidance. In the crazy world today, seemingly dominated by evil forces, God's principles can still protect us.

One thing that is pressing on to us, is to look back  and  be ashamed of errors in our past. Whether as a country or as individuals. DO NOT GO THERE. God says to do that, you cannot be a Christian.

Another tool of the devil is to look forward and worry about it. DO NOT GO THERE EITHER.

Thirdly, God says that by serving others, He can be depended on to take care of us. Many are trying to have you be selfish and self centered. Ignore them for the trust and Word of God.

Finally, God claims that His freedom is far superior to any on the earth. It is really a freedom to be experienced.

Let us pray:

Dear Father God,

May we at this time celebrate, also our freedom in Christ which formed the most free nation on earth. May we gather to your principles to ensure that freedom in ourselves.

I n Jesus Holy Name, we pray!
