Joel Fink, Allied's President and CEO, said the fourth-generation family-owned company has long-established ties to Chicago and the West Side and added the company is actively exploring other locations for Allied's Chicago operations.

Established in 1952, the company produces aluminum and zinc alloys. It is a major supplier to die casting and foundry operations that serve the appliance, automotive, electronics, furniture, hardware, housewares, sporting goods, and toy industries. The company operates a second plant in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
