"God Comforts the Depressed."
2 Cor. 7:6 (Apostle Paul)
Paul had a fruitful ministry going in Corinth, but due to some severe opposition, he was on the verge of leaving. He had faced opposition, including, stoning, beating, prison, and more in other places, however this time it seemed too much.
Have you ever felt like the level of pain or problems was just too difficult? Have you ever been ready to quit or give up the project because it was too difficult or the obstacles were too great?
Then you can empathize with Paul. However, God had a plan for him in that city, and God also had a plan of encouraging him to keep on keeping on.
God also has a plan to help us keep on when we are on the verge of throwing in the towel. This passage discusses at least 7 things God did to encourage Paul to "keep calm and carry on."
It is too soon to quit. Learn what God did to encourage Paul and what He does to encourage each of us. And learn how you can encourage others around you who may be getting ready to give up.
