Please help save our trees. Trees make a difference!
Wilmington and New Hanover County are widely known for beautiful trees, which greatly contribute to making our area healthy and safe. We have lost many trees in recent years to hurricanes and development. We want to limit our losses in the future.
But planting new trees is not enough; early and continued care is necessary, too. County and city grounds workers, landowners, and tree companies need to have information on the proper methods to care for trees.
By getting signatures, we will urge the City of Wilmington and New Hanover County to address the need for the preservation and proper maintenance of old trees, as well as the need for planting and maintaining new trees to replenish those we have lost.
A Citizens Petition is attached and you can help by gathering signatures! Get the sheets to me or let me know and I can arrange to have them picked up, or get them to the Bargain Box at 4213 Princess Place Dr. Or sign our on-line using the link below.
Please help our voices be heard by those who are making decisions right now about tree regulations for our city and county. This is a time that the citizens can be heard.
The link attached below will also take you to the on-line petition that you can sign. Please share this email and help us have our voices heard by those making the decisions about restrictions locally.
Thank you for your time and consideration!
