on their new homes.

LED Fixtures Require LED Lights

LED fixtures require LED lightbulbs. Incandescent light bulbs are not meant for these fixtures. While they may “fit” into the fixture, they will overheat and melt the fixture (as seen in the picture), and they pose a fire hazard.

COCLT homes are built with LED fixtures and lightbulbs to help lower your utility costs. LED bulbs have a reduction in energy usage by more than 75% compared to incandescent lighting, resulting in significant savings.

Effective August 1, 2023, the production and sale of incandescent light bulbs have officially been banned in the United States because of their low energy efficiency. Please be sure not to use incandescent bulbs you may have purchased prior to the ban when it comes time to replace. LED bulbs are long lasting, provide better savings on your utility bill, and eliminate any risk for fire damage in these fixtures. They are certainly worth the investment.
