Greetings from the Principal & Counselor

Hello, and welcome to the new school year! I'm excited to introduce Aubrey Boonstra, the school counselor covering Mrs. Butler's maternity leave this fall. An important part of her role will be working with 7th and 8th grade students and families to support them in preparing for high school. Please read on for important dates and information. She and I look forward to working with you and your students this school year! - Dr. Valentine

Introducing Ms. Boonstra

Hello Edison Gifted families! My name is Ms. Aubrey Boonstra, and I’m happy to introduce myself as the temporary school counselor while Ms. Butler is away on maternity leave. I’m truly excited to be part of your school community and am looking forward to getting to know all of the students!

I am joining Edison with a background in both Counseling and Special Education and spent the last four years at Skinner North Classical School. I am passionate about helping students feel safe, supported, and confident both in and out of the classroom. I look forward to supporting your children's social/emotional journey. Please feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions, concerns, or if there’s anything specific you’d like me to know about your child. My door is always open!
