Attention 7th Grade Families:
We are excited to introduce a new field trip this year for our 7th grade students. Beginning this year, 7th grade students will have an opportunity to go to Catalina Island Marine Institute from
April 24-26, 2019
Catalina Island is a beautiful natural laboratory. Catalina Island Marine Institute (CIMI) is a unique outdoor science school, providing an exciting outdoor education experience for 4 through 12
grade students from public and private schools. The program is offered at three locations on Catalina Island – operated by the nonprofit corporation, Guided Discoveries – including Toyon Bay, Fox Landing, and Cherry Cove. We will be staying at Fox Landing. During this three day programs, students and teachers enjoy a variety of hands-on labs and field activities in Marine Science and Island Ecology. CIMI is a STEM based program.
Inspirada staff and administration will be chaperoning this field trip.
In order to determine a final cost for students, we need to get a head count of how many students are interested in attending. The overall cost will be approximately $350-400; however, we will know a more exact cost once we determine how many students will be joining us.
