“The world can be a better place if there’s love, tolerance, and humility.”
-Irena Sendler
Between November 18 and February 10, our lessons will be focused on Holocaust education. Teaching about the Holocaust is not solely about the 6 million Jews that were brutally murdered. We honor their lives and memory by educating the next generation about what happens when hate, prejudice and injustice become policy.
We will be mainly using lessons from Echoes and Reflections.
Our philosophy is to teach from the point of survivors and survivor testimonies, in this way we understand the importance of the survivors sharing their stories with us and our responsibility to educate others.
We are honored to have Adam Zimmerman joining our faculty for the weeks of our Holocaust Curriculum again this year. He will be leading an advanced class that students can self-select into to gain a deeper understanding of Holocaust history. This breakout class will take place at the same time as TBAHigh. If you would like your student to participate in this special experience, or would like more information, please contact Alyssa Katon.
Please mark your calendars for the 2 upcoming parent/child events below, which are an integral part of our Holocaust Curriculum.
